Forward Unto Dawn is a LIVE ACTION Halo series, five episodes totaling about 20 minutes each are to be made. Three of which are already completed. I watched them finally yesterday, this is the best series I have ever seen. It's absolutely incredible. Fantastic acting, and includes one of the actresses from the "Narnia" series, which I have not seen, but it's pretty cool to have a prestigious actress.

The main character, "Lasky" is also an important character in the new book, "The Thursday War".

As a storyline Halo fanatic, I LOVE this series. It's the first time i have seen something accurately approach what Halo is really about, the storyline the books touch on. The games barely scratch at the surface of what the universe truly is. I have always said Halo is our generation's Star Wars. What I really like is they took the horror aspect and added it. That's what Halo is! Halo is not only a military science fiction, it is a HORROR story. The Elites and Brutes are meant to be HORRIFYING, they aren't just enemies....they are monsters!

ENJOY!

WARNING: THERE IS SOME MILD PROFANITY

“God left the world unfinished for man to work his skill upon. He left the electricity still in the cloud, the oil still in the earth. How often we look upon God as our last and feeblest resource. We go to Him because we have nowhere else to go. And then we learn that the storms of life have driven us, not upon the rocks, but into the desired Haven.”

I read a Halo series of how the Master Chief became the way he is now and the book has a character named Polasky who is a girl. Also in my school, there is a thing called a tiny tooter that has a guy who looks exactly like Lasky. I wonder if its the same person.

Yeah there are several Halo novels out, I have read all of em time and time again. They are a fantastic series, the best I have ever read. I believe you read "First Strike", which has a pilot named Shiela Polaski. Not that same person.

The only novel that includes Tom Lasky is "The Thursday War", which is the latest one. He will also likely have a major part in Halo 4.

I recommend all the novels, "Contact Harvest", "The Cole Protocol", "The Fall of Reach", "The Flood", "First Strike", "Evolutions", "Ghosts of Onyx", "Glasslands", and "The Thursday War". I also recommend the separate "Forerunner series" consisting of "Cryptum", "Primordium", and the soon to come out "Silentium". All the books are fantastic and in that order, however I liked Glasslands and The Thursday war the least. Also, I can't say i recommend the books for a young reader, they are very much rated mature, though I did read them at a young age myself. They present the true storyline for Halo that you simply won't get from the games. The games, sans Halo CE and Halo 2 which attack the storyline fairly well, never really scratch the surface of the Halo universe.
