Okay... so after church yesterday I just felt completely random. I decided it would be interesting to find some of the stuff that related to the number I have tacked on to the end of my e-mail, 69. First, I went to page 925 in my bible. 925 was the number of my BSA Natl. Jamboree troop that I was in... I guess it was two summers ago. On that page, John Chp. 6 started. It was the 9th verse that caught my eye. "Here is a boy with five small barley loaves and two small fish, but how far will they go among so many?" All of Saturday I had been thinking... Okay, I have a talent at writing... Words are just something that come naturally to me. But what is it all worth? I mean, I don't have a divinely inspired story to tell or some amazing biblical parallel to bring into the story. But a long time ago, there was one kid. He had virtually nothing. What he gave was barely enough food for a couple of people. But he gave it anyway... So, I started to wonder: What's in Genesis 6:9? And what about (insert book here) 6:9? "This is the account of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked with God." Genesis 6:9 Something everyone should want to be... "I snatched you from the power of Egypt and from the hand of all your oppressors. I drove them from before you and gave you their land" Judges 6:9 We have power on our side, even against the greatest powers in the world... Psalm 69 is longer than I want to post, but it just talks about being 'in over your head' (which has happened to me). "This then is how you should pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be your name" Matthew 6:9 "Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer holds mastery over him." Romans 6:8-9 "Do you not know that the wicked will not inheret the kingdom of God? Do not be decieved: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders..." 1 Corinthians 6:9 "We put no stumbling block in anyone's path, so that our ministry will not be discredited. Rather, as servants of God we commend ourselves in every way: in great endurance; in troubles, hardships and distresses; in beatings, imprisonments and riots; in sleepless nights, hard work and hunger; in purity, understanding, patience and kindness; in the Holy Spirit and in sincere love; in truthful speech and in the righteousness of God; with weapons of righteousness in the right hand and in the left; through glory and dishonor, bad report and good report; genuine, yet regarded as impostors; known, yet regarded as unknown; dying, and yet we live on; beaten, and yet not killed" 2 Corinthians 6:3-9 (9 is underlined) "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." Galatians 6:9 I just found it awesome how all of this came together. If anyone wants to, just check out some of the "fav number" scriptures... |

Definitely something to think about. As many say, "God works in mysterious ways". But definitely good finds, especially the one involving the boy feeding all the people with so few. That is by far one of my favorite Biblical stories right on up there with the Good Samaritan. Give all that you have to God, and it will be enough. |

i like this verse alot because it shows that even sometimes when you are questioning your faith and why bother to continue on it shows that you will one day be rewarded. thx for reminding us all of this great verse. |

One more case that things aren't accidents... they're just God being really sneaky and uber-ninjalike |
