well i normally pick a subject of the bible that im interested in to read up on and research to understand it better. Right now im studying fallen angels. there are a couple theories on this subject. One being that Lucifer and Satan are two totally different beings. The other being that they are the same...i really have no opinion on this therefore i am researching on it. To me it seems that both versions do make sense but only one can be true obviously. My studies have led me to the fallen angel Belial of which i had no knowledge of until i had seen the movie "The Exorcism Of Emily Rose" which is what i did some research on infact. Now im not exactly sure i believe in demonic possession, but i do believe in demons, and demonic persuasion. The movie is obviously completely fiction, however it is based on the true story of Anneliese Michel. Branching off of this were belief's of "demons" of Nero, Adolf Hitler, Cain, Legion, Belial. The movie however included Lucifer to add drama i guess. Nevertheless, requardless of what the movie said (because i find it extremely hard to believe) i researched each of the names. Cain, Legion, and Belial found the most interesting results. All are mentioned in the Bible...but none as "demons" except Legion, whose name had entered when a man approached Jesus stating that several forces dwelled in him and when Christ asked their names they claimed that there were many so they are called Legion...when realizing Jesus' power they begged to not be condemned back to the depths of hell, Jesus instead cast them out of the man and they went on to dwell in pigs, the pigs later drown themselves. Cain, was of course one of the sons of Adam and Eve. When his brother Abel had given God his gift, the Lord was pleased. However when Cain presented his gift the Lord was unpleased, this sent him into a rage and he asked his brother to walk with him through the field, he killed Abel in the field and was condemned to roam the earth by God. Belial i know the least about because as i said i had never heard the name. All i know at this point is that he was a fallen angel, supposedly the angel that convinced Lucifer to lead the revolt against God, he was struck down from the heavens just as Lucifer was. When i research more i will post it probably. We all know who Nero and Hitler were, and we all know they had their demons, but whether it was as far as possession is questionable. Well this is what i have studied so far...the next subject i am going to is likely the city of Babylon, my second subject of interest that i dont know a whole lot about. Opinions, debates, and further views of the information i have above is appreciated, this is a new subject to me and i would really like to hear what other fellow Christians have to say about it, because most of this i just read on the internet or pieces of the Bible its still new to me and im not sure what i accept as the truth and what to accept as interpretation. The subject of possession is my most questionable thing. And im neutral on the Lucifer/Satan theories too. |

The biggest question on this subject to me is "When did the fallen angels actually get cast out of Heaven?" It could not have been before the 1st day of creation because nothing but God existed. Some people say that it must have happened on one of the days of creation. But if that was the case, then it would contradict what God says. On every day of creation, God examined what was created a said it was good. If there had been a great turmoil in Heaven, then the creation would not have been good. Therefore the fall of some of the angels must have happened after the creation of all things, but before the temptation and sin of Eve. So the next question is, "How long were Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden?" They were kicked out before Cain, Abel, or Seth was born. The Bible says Adam was 130 when Seth was born. Cain had already murdered Abel by that time (I think). So it is very possible that Cain could have been born when Adam was around 100 or 110. So he could have possibly lived in the Garden of Eden for at around 100 years. During that time is when i think the turmoil in Heaven took place, and Lucifer along with his allies fell from Heaven. |

well Adam encounters the devil(the snake) in the garden, so it was even less than those 100 years. |

it was soon after creation because the whole reason that Satan was struck down was because of his jealousy of God's love for Adam |

Do you have any biblical evidence to support this statement? |

well it was the combination of that and his ambition, he wanted to be God, not a servant of God. but basically no i have no more idea than anyone when he was struck down, as has been said, it was somewhere in between creation of the angels and the tempting of Adam and Eve. |

And the question is, "How long was the time period between those two events?" The angels had to have been created during the six days of creation, since nothing but God existed before. I also speculate that Lucifer and his allies fell from heaven around the time he tempted Adam and Eve. Some evidence points to before, and some points to this temptation as the starting point for the great turmoil that took place in heaven. But i still think that Adam and Eve could have existed in the garden with God for atleast 70 - 100 years. There is no evidence to deny this, or to support an exact amount of time, but it was very possible and probable. |
