Well ive been doing a lot of indepth study on this subject for the lst 6 months and i wanted to see what you guys believe. If you do vote, please post an explaination of why you think you are correct. Ill give you a few helpful tips to remember about this subject.

1. Evolution has NOT been proven except for micro evolution.

2. There is no scientific proof of the age of the earth. (Proof means undisputable fact. A theory is not proof.)

3. If you believe in the big bang theory, please refer to my topic in general discussion and it will open your eyes to the truth.

I believe in a true 6 day creation as stated in the Bible. Ill explain why after I read a few of you guys' posts.

I believe the six day theory cause its what the bible tells us and i believe that the bible was written so that you can take facts from it JUST as it is written and not "assume" things like that there was a million year gap between each day. Therefore if the bible says God made this thing one day and this another day then we should take it as it is written and believe that it was a true day as we have now.

i dont necessarily believe any of the above, but i accept them as possibilities. I do believe that god did create earth though.

since the bible has been put through the telephone game over thousands of years, that being, its was passed down and passed down(the stories of Genesis and stuff) that it may have changed. For all we know, days were years, or decades, or centuries, or millenia. God gave us the knowledge, but we arent perfect and we could have easily altered the true meaning of some things

I feel sorry for you Kero. You are so lost and need so much guidance.

2 Timothy 3:16-17

"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."

I also believe the 6 day variant.

As for you Kero - I know you've been in AoG long enough to have seen a certain post which I wouldn't blame you for forgetting since it was so long ago (and I don't even remember the author) but I would like to cite it for you and everyone, since there should be a reason why it popped up in my head just now after such a while:

"God has his Word exactly where he wants it"

Obviously, it had to be translated and evolved in certain parts for the sake of comprehension. But as you said - that took thousands of years. This means that no single person had the control over the Bible and its transformation from 2000 years ago until now. This means that there certainly was a process of transformation that was beyond human reach. I think you understand where I'm going with this - God taking care of his own messsage throughout the ages. But the important part is, if we trust God then we must trust that he has done what he considers right with the Bible. Maybe he kept it the same. Maybe he changed some things. Maybe he changed a whole lot of things - but if you understand the idea of his intellect and power being absolute, then you can also see that only he knows if and when humans have to be pushed around in their beliefs in order to preserve our souls.

i agree ty that was kinda my point, but i didnt go into it that much lol

and you know, i know you were trying to help alpha, but that is not a great way to approach people about stuff like that, its kinda rude. makes me feel real stupid and all that, so id appreciate it, that if your gonna say something like that to me, its in a completely different way.

yes i know that all scripture in the bible is "god breathed" but that doesnt mean He changed something does it? If the bible says "All this means exactly what it says, down to the punctuation!" or anything like that, cuz if it does tell me where.
