1. Modded and Free-form topics
2. EXP and Levels
3. Teams and Rankings
4. Heart Points

1. Modded and Free-form topics

I guess what should come first is the modding and how it's done. After all, the mods and admin are the ones that supervise and organize the board. So, this is what happens. You, the players, choose between two options for each topic. These two choices are:

  • Free-form: Otherwise known as going solo or just calling up and controlling some NPCs without the help of a staff member. After its completion the player may post up a link in a pinned topic where mods can delete the post after rewards are given and the topic is closed. If the free-form is unacceptable, such as a level 5 pokemon defeating a level 30 without effort, then work with the player to fix it before rewarding it. If a level 5 does defeat a level 30 it would be perfectly acceptable if there was some amazing plan or strategy involved in order to do so, however.

  • Modded: A staff member guides the player through an area or situation, the events ultimately set up by the staff member. The player only has to control his own character and pokemon, nothing else.

A free-form may be started within a modded topic but it should be said where the Free-form begins and where it ends.

example

(Free-form begins)
Brian waves goodbye to his best friend as they part ways.
(Free-form ends)

Granted, free-forms this short will gain no rewards at all. Also, free-forms cannot be used to gain sudden control of NPCs already set in place by a staff member. Finish an event first or simply write up a free-form about past events, known more commonly as a flashback, to create some kind of relief from drawn-out situations.)

2. EXP and Levels

We all know levels important when it comes to pokemon. So, here's how you can earn them: by earning enough EXP. Well, here's how you can earn some EXP: Battles, events, and bonuses.

Battles:
Battles normally work by taking turns, one attack per pokemon per turn. The higher-leveled pokemon go first. If they are equal in level, the challenger goes first.

(Incomplete)

3. Teams and Rankings

Stop. You're thinking of Team Rocket and Team Galaxy, Aqua, Magma, so on so forth? If so, then get those sorry excuses for villains out of your head. This isn't 4kids. On boards like this we should be able to hold guns to young ten-year-old hero's heads or shoot off a couple rounds to effectively neuter any dramatic breeder in order to stop him from making his very large family any bigger.

On the other hand you could be the hero, police or vigilante respectively, to put a stop to any villains you may encounter on your journey to make your name known in some way or another. Not making an attack-sensitive chip on the villains clothes switch on to activate a satellite's tractor beam to pull them out of trouble and drop them somewhere else (making them 'blast off'). But rather jailing them, stealing from them instead of the other way around, or even killing them as long as it's not too graphic.

So here's the fun part. Want to start a team? Then start a topic in the General Discussion forum titled: (Team) team name here and fill out the application below. Once posted you must wait for at least three other players to reply saying they would like to join your team. Once three players or more have posted wanting to join, an admin should create a private forum for your team to chat and plan things out; if your team is acceptable.

Note to responding players: Only reply to team topics if you wish to join. Any opinions, flaming comments or otherwise, should be kept to yourself or in the C-box if you just can't control yourself.

Team Application Form

Name: (Name of the team)
Alliance: (Good, Bad, or just Ugly?)
Location: (Your team HQ, including your private chat forum, will be made in this area.)
Goal/s: What goals do you have for your team? What do you want to accomplish for yourself and for your employees?

Starting Pokemon: (You may choose up to three pokemon to gift your members with upon employment. Each employment must be played out IC and the team leader must pay a fee for each pokemon being given; the price depends on the pokemon and will be announced by a staff member. Each employee can only choose ONE of these three pokemon to take. These three pokemon must be local to the area your HQ is located.

Equipment: (You may come up with up to three tools, weapons, or uniforms your members can use to get the job done and make names known, such as nets to capture pokemon, tazers to stun trainers, or even something as simple as a Turbiaux Palm-Squeezer Pistol. Again, prices that must be paid for these will be announced by a staff member.)

.4 Heart Points

Heart points are your pokemon's feelings. Good/bad deeds, losses and victories, just giving your pokemon some attention, and the way you take care of it's needs. Those all effect your relationship with your individual pokemon.

=rheart are obtained for heroes who display good deeds.

=pheart are obtained for bad deeds.

Each have their own advantages and disadvantages. As your heart points grow you may receive benefits such as an increase in experience, a greater chance to get away from a dead body you leave in the alley before police arrive, and so on.
