I have a question, what is the best way to level up your pokemon? In other words... how does exp work in this game? does your pokemon only get X-P from defeating other pokemon? I have two Magickarp and an abra and they are so hard to train!

Well the best way to train pokemon such as Magikarp and Abra. IN MY OPINION, is either mount moon 2 Using this set up Magikarp Magikarp/abra *rock *rock Strong pokemon Strong pokemon Strong pokemon Strong Pokemon Pokemon such as Abra and Magikarp dont do damage as such: When they teleport/splash it affects the pokemon around them, however doesnt cause any damage. To gain the pokemon has to be defeated, thus using the Stonger Pokemon will finish them off giving Abra/magikarp damage (magikarp learns tackle at lv 15 making it slightly easier)Another way you be Cerulean Gym with Magikarp/Abra in the top corners or middle, then stronger pokemon in the other spaces |

Gotta be against you Muddy, sorry But training Abra at Mt Moon2 is ridiculous xDTo train Abra, choose Cerulean Gym1 and put it in the middle, all other spots covered with really strong Pokemon and watch its experience grow

Training Abra was a real pain. I used VF2 and MM1 because there aren't many spots for him to port around to. If you train at MM2 he will constantly port off screen. |

unless you put your strong pokemon in the last 2 spots. then your abra will always be in range of a pokemon in my expensence best place for abra is Cgym one doing this A---------E -----P----- P---------P A=abra E=empty P=pokemon this way the abra teleports to the other side ready for the next wave also xp works as in if your pokemon does a move while an enmey is in range the pokemon will get xp for it when said enemy has died also the higher level the enemy the more xp you get Edited by Newbody1, Jun 10 2011, 01:57 PM.

Are you implying that abra can teleport with all other spots filled? If that's possible, CG1 is definitely the best place for training and I'm disappointed I didn't know about it sooner. If it's not possible, MM2 is definitely the best

Yeah Haunter, Abra uses Teleport, making him "attack" the enemy, but can't move as all other spots are filled - he gains experience but doesn't move and the middle spot is just perfect for him in Cerulean Gym1

You serious? Oo Mt Moon2 is bad for Abra in my opinion, as it just teleports away too often...

the middle spot is bad for abra in cgymone unless you have the first 2 spots filled by debuff pokemon. because the first pokemon will kill them before they come into abras range |

Should have mentioned that, you're right Newbody ^^ Of course two Pokemon like Pikachu with Thunder wave or Arbok with Screech/Glare and real killers at the two bottom slots
