I just did some testing on Kyogre with a Ninetales(because it can learn both Nasty Plot and Rage). I used Quick Attack and Swift on it with different buffs and debuffs affecting both Ninetales and Kyogre to test the difference between stat boosts and stat reductions. Results So, apparently, there are no differences between stat-lowering moves of the same stat type, even though the descriptions imply otherwise. Tail Whip and Leer are the same as Screech, etc. That, and you'd normally be better off using a lead spot debuffer rather than using Rage, Swords Dance and the rest individually. Or you could use Helping Hand, if only because it boosts all other Pokemons' Attack and Sp. Attack at the same time. Dunno how many of you already knew this, but I figured it was worth sharing. |

Yes I knew about this. I think Sam didn't make a difference because then some of those moves would be OP. Maybe if Sam put some kind of restriction with these moves he could make some better then others. This is a little off topic but I hope Sam nerfs helping hand, 1.5 boost to 5 of your pokemon in both attack stats that lasts a long time is just too powerful. And the fact that buffs last very long is also pretty over powered. |

i was wondering about this topic, in my head i was like "is there any diff between the stat boosts of the diff moves?" it seems not so i just gotta put nidoking into my party, this would leave more room for attacks for the rest of my team. also, do the buffs/debuffs stack? |

I've been wondering that myself lately, now that we have access to so many buffs and debuffs. Do they stack? |
