So let's BREAK THE ICE!.........Man......

Introduce yourself to everyone!

I will start!

My name is Daniel "Protoman", I have been video gaming since I was 3 years old. My first system was an Atari 2600 from which my parents got me. Over time during that first year of video gaming, they got me something like 30 games (They were on liquidation from Consumers Distributing back in 1986, for like 10 bucks a pop, still cheap even for 1986). From there I became obsessed, when I got my first Nintendo in 1989; the rest was history. My name (for those that don't know) comes from the game series Mega Man. Proto Man is his brother and one of my favorite video game characters of all time. Aside from gaming, I am also retardly obsessed with Transformers and 80s/90s toylines and comics.

PICK ONE:

Favorite Series: Mega Man (Original, X, WHATEVER, it's all gold), Legend of Zelda is a very close 2nd place
Favorite Game of All Time: Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time (but there is A LOT of close 2nd places)
Favorite Under-Rated Game: Clayfighter (SNES)
Favorite Video Game Character: Proto Man (Of Megaman fame)
Favorite System: Super Nintendo

Ooookay. Here we go.

My gaming "history": grew up with my cousins (who lived next door) with their Atari 2600. Another cousin (who lived down the block) got the NES when it first came out. My parents bought me a Game Boy for X'mas '89. All went downhill from there. Then came the SNES, N64, PSX... Eventually, collectively between my brother and I, we ended up with 33 home consoles and 47 portables (as of right now).

My current "thing" in the gaming hobby is building arcade sticks; been playing Street Fighter II since the beginning (and still playing SF), and I'm all for Capcom fighters (could never get used to any of the other ones), though I've had my run with Mortal Kombat as well. My plan is to build my own arcade cabinet sometime down the line when I have more room at home (and as long as my fiancée doesn't kill me).

People might also know me from the Transformers fandom as the guy who obsessively collections Special-Edition-Black-Repaints.

The name "FreedomGundam" comes from Kira Yamato's second mobile suit from the series Kidou Senshi Gundam Seed. Wasn't my first choice of online screen name, but at the time, I was registering for Transformers forums (my "usual" online name is "Tidalwave", been using it since 1996), but didn't want people to think that I pulled the name from TF Armada's Tidalwave (first appearance in 2002, I believe).

Favorite Series: Super Robot Taisen (Super Robot Wars)
Favorite Game of All Time: Chrono Trigger (get it? "Favorite game of all TIME"? :P )
Favorite Under-Rated Game: I dunno... not sure.
Favorite Video Game Character: Kyle Dunamis (from the Japanese-only Tales of Destiny 2 (the actual sequel))
Favorite System: Super NES (the last console where games were more about fun and gameplay than spiffy visuals)

Hey everyone, my name is Wendel.

If I remember right I played an Atari 2600 when I was either 2 or 3 years old at a cousin's place on a trip to Trinidad and Tobago.

After that I met my best friend and he showed me his NES. I finally got one of my own and I was hooked ever since. The game my best friend and I played into the ground was River City Ransom. That game was one of the first few that had some insane depth into it our little minds were blown. We even documented all the items and their stats in the game for a whole Summer.

A game that really made me see that games could have a great mature narrative was Final Fantasy Tactics. Just having characters you care about being swept up in a big conspiracy made by the Church was eye popping to me when it came out. The music and the sound design was amazing for back then too. I still replay this game from time to time when I can.

I have a big love for the fighting game genre. My allegiance lies with SNK and a big chunk of their various fighting games. My favourite of the SNK series is King of Fighters and Samurai Showdown. But since KOF comes out more often and I've played more of it KOF comes out. I think my favourite Capcom fighting game would be the Street Fighter 3 series mainly Third Strike.

There is a big soft spot in my heart for Arcade racing games made by Sega's AM2. The two big ones that stand out in my mind are Daytona USA 1 and Sega Super GT/ SCUD Race. Both of these games had a full 4 gear box to knock about with and encouraged drifting for the gameplay. A little fortune of quarters were spent on these games in high school.

So far in my video game collection I have 9 home consoles (10 if I kept my GameCube) and 4 handhelds (I'm not counting the extra PSP that I bought).

My name Jawz. D in full is Jawz Deadeye. Jawz is my initials of my real name spelled backwards with a "Z" thrown on at the end a la Dragon Ball Z. This came about when I was entering names into arcades and the initials left behind was odd looking. While playing Pokemon in early high school I decided to flip it around to be more interesting.

I also collect Transformers, I love to read mangas, comic books and fictional novels, and music is a really big part of my life.

PICK ONE:

Favorite Series: King of Fighters
Favorite Game of All Time: River City Ransom (Final Fantasy Tactics is a close second)
Favorite Under-Rated Game: Cybernator/Assault Suits Valken (SNES)
Favorite Video Game Character: Nathan Drake (Uncharted Series)
Favorite System: Playstation (the spiritual successor to the SNES)

My name is Julian

I started playing games when I was 4 years old (give or take) because my sister receive a NES, coolest thing I've ever seen at that time, even more cool than Transformers :O! I was horrible at playing games like Mario, Kickmaster and Mega Man until I got a nice grey brick...I mean a Gameboy a couple of years later :D. After that I started to get better overall but I still suck at Super Mario Bros 3 even to this day.

I'm tend to be "late in the game" when it came to buying consoles but I'm cool with that.
Gameboy Color: a month after it came out (I didn't buy it so it doesn't count)
Nintendo 64: When a Kirby game was made for Nintendo 64
Gameboy Advance: after the first price drop
Gamecube: When it was released with the "GBA" attachment
PS2: 6-7 months before the PS3 came out
Nintendo DS Lite and Nintendo DSi XL: Last summer at the same time
3DS: preordered before it came out (traded my DSi XL for partial discount)
Nintendo Wii: a month ago

I am a HUGE Transformers fan and collect them from every series (G1 to present)

My name: "pulsedragon20" can from a combination of many things:
"pulse" was my "tag" back in high school, I was born in the year of the dragon and
20 is my favorite number

Favorite Series: Kirby Dreamland and Mega Man (I know I picked two but who cares :D)
Favorite Game of All Time: I don't exactly have one but at least 2 times a year I have to play Marvel vs Capcom 2 on PS2
Favorite Under-Rated Game: Don't know yet
Favorite Video Game Character: Kirby and Optimus Prime (just for the hell of it)
Favorite System: DS Lite with a R4

Do I have to do a big ol' writeup?

I'm a PC gamer with much love to the NES and SNES. Got a GameCube and Wii at Village des Valeurs and the 360 I got as a gift and repaired myself twice is currently dead in a box in the basement, like an ex-wife.

In my spare time, I make online comics with action figures and attend conventions where our man Protoman always recognizes me, despite my under-elaborate homemade costumes.

Favorite Series: Star Wars: Dark Forces/Jedi Knight
Favorite Game of All Time: Grim Fandango and/or Super Metroid
Favorite Under-Rated Game: I'm awfully tempted to put Duke Nukem Forever here. Eh, Protoman?
Favorite Video Game Character: Probably some kind of tie between the likes of Kyle Katarn, Manny Calavera, Max Payne and Duke Nukem.
Favorite System: PC

My name is Adam

Tekkaraiden is a shortened version of TekkamanRaiden which come from my favorite anime series (Tekkaman Blade) and my favorite god of thunder.

I've been gaming since the C64 days, my first console was a Sega Genesis.

I've become more of a collector than a gamer nowadays due to being busy with life and work. I have plans to set up all of my collected systems once my wife and I move. I also hope to restore the two arcade cabinets I own.

Favorite Series: Sonic the Hedgehog (genesis era)
Favorite Game of All Time: Pirates! for the C64 (though I have many more)
Favorite Under-Rated Game: Can't think of one.
Favorite Video Game Character: Sonic the Hedgehog
Favorite System: Genesis/C64
