What's your Fav. PS1 game? the one that if you had to play over and over, or was the only game you had to choose to take on a desert island, what would it be? or is it a series?

I love Twisted Metal. The whole series was the one that really attracted me to the Playstation console. Every game in the series is great, but the one that stands out for me is Twisted Metal 3. Now I could say TM2 as it is the greatest of all time, but TM3 was the first one i got on my new PSX system and is the one game I play EVERY Christmas with my brother. Cars were a little more realistic, and the game was pretty buggy.... but SO fun.

Front Mission 3, A turn based Stragety Game. I was orginally introduced to the 4th in the series on PS2. But 3 is the best in the whole series in my opinion. In true Square Eniq's style there is Two distinct stories with nearly 200 hours of game play. This is not a game you sit down for 30 mins and get up and leave.

The first PSX game that really made me want the system was Mega Man 8. Then of course they also got X4 and the Legends series.........

Then Beast Wars....... and Transmetals............. man aside from a few AMAZING games, it sucked being an N64 teen back in 1996-2000

I don't know. I wouldn't say N64 sucked. Going off my childhood memories, you had: Ocarnia of Time, Majora's Mask, Goldeneye, Super Mario 64, Donkey Kong 64, Mario Kart 64, Pokemon Stadium, Pokemon Snap, Super Smash Bros, etc.

While Playstation had Metal Gear Solid(though I never playing the original, just the Twin Snakes edition on GameCube), the Spider-Man games, the Mega Man Legends games, and the Digimon Games(well, mainly just the first one was good, but buggy).

Both systems had good games, but if I had to choose one, I'd have to pick N64 as my favourite.

Oh don't get me wrong, some great games came out of it (Hell Ocarina of Time is and will forever be my favorite game of all time) but in general, the carts were expensive compared to PSX cds (69.99-99.99 carts vs. 29.99 to 49.99 CDs), not to mention when people started modded their PSXs and burned their own games........... I was left in the dust.

The game I could play over and over again and did was Final Fantasy Tactics. Love that game to bits, and I really loved the story even though parts were mistranslated.

N64 had good stuff too. But that's for another topic on another page. ;)
