My take on it now I have studied is we don't want Ukraine in the EU which would be run by a bunch of Neo Nazis.I just wish we had a leader like Putin who stands up for his own people and not cow tow to outsiders.Russia has every right to do what its doing and silly little men like Obama and Hague are should just shut up before it gets anymore dangerous. They should remember its Russia they are dealing with, not Syria.

The man has a pair alright but he's one scary dude! Not sure I'd like to meet him down a dark alley, actually not sure I'd like to meet him in one all lit up with a zillion CCTV cameras either! I certainly agree though at least he looks out for his own people, our leaders all too often worry about everyone else and ignore what's going on back here on this little island of ours.

Russia has 40,000 troops massed on the Crimea/Ukraine border. The west told them to reduce the size of the force, so they did, by about 700.

I wonder if the west saw all the tanks and heavy armour being loaded on to trains and lorries on the telly this morning like I did?

Putin will do what he wants, not what the west tells him to do.

Farage said Putin was the best leader of a country in the world,he is right.Cameron and Obama are pigmy's to what he is.He don't give a toss what others thinks as long as he does right for Russia,if only we had a leader like him.

You might think Russia looks after it's people, but you'd be pretty far off the mark. Under a Communist regime, people are allowed enough to get by. There's no free enterprise and thought and ideas are strictly monitored and frowned upon.

This following map shows just how difficult - well nigh impossible some might say - to find a solution to the Ukraine problem.

At its most simple - Blue areas voted for a Russian backed presidential candidate and Yellow areas voted for a nationalistic Ukrainian candidate.

If you draw a line going northwards upwards out of the Crimean peninsula then a huge majority of citizens living to the RIGHT (East) of that line want to re-incorporate themselves with Russia as well. How do you deal with that??

Draw a line from the top of the blue point in the centre to the one on the right and make it a border, move all those in the yellow area under that line to the 4 blue areas in the north, and move the people from those blue area into the yellow areas that you have just emptied. The yellow areas you lose below that line look around the same size as the blue areas above it. Stick a flipping great big fence up along the new border, declare above the line as independent Ukraine and below the line as a state of Russia. Before the border between the 2 is closed let anyone who wants to live in the other one move. Russia can then look after it's new state and Ukraine can look after it's own people with no more than displacement into a strange region for a few thousand! If only it were really that simple in reality!

Its a bit of a stalemate at the moment. But if Putin gets away with Crimea, with no great opposition, and its unlikely a few halfhearted sanctions will bother him, its only a matter of time before he sets his sights on somewhere else.

Sooner or later, America and Europe are going to have to make some serious decisions. And I think that will be when we see just how united the EU really is.

What are we going to do than? The Tories have ripped our forces to shreads and the Americans wont have the stomach for a war with Russia. That leaves the rest of Europe, the ones that lays down their arms at the sound of a starter pistol.Let them have Ukraine, full of Neo Nazis anyway ,we already been backing the wrong side in two wars already.Russia I believe would not go any further, besides we need their gas, what if they pulled the plug?If we were really serious in stopping a real dictator, then go after Mugarbe,he really is murdering his people.
