Well, the Royals are off to Wembley to welcome the 'visiting' Gunners of Arsenal in the FA Cup Semi-Finals match on Saturday afternoon. Heavily favored Arsenal has not lost to Reading in 12 prior matches and are confident (with some reason) to be making it 13 straight. But the Royals do not have to be better than Arsenal for a season, or even a full match. If they can find those moments of quality at critical points in the match - make the save, the tackle, bend in the free kick or place the header just right, they could make that 1 chance in 25 or so come true and grab a page in the football history book. Going with Gold Match scoring for this one, as Arsenal would likely be a top 6 side in the Championship. How do you predict this match will end?

Points System (the Gold Match values shown)

20 points - correct result e.g. you predict Reading 3-1 Wolves and the result is Reading 3-1 Wolves
16 points - correct draw e.g. you predict Reading 1-1 Wolves and the result is Reading 2-2 Wolves
14 points - correct outcome with correct goal difference e.g. you predict Reading 1-0 Wolves and the result is Reading 2-1 Wolves
10 points - correct outcome with incorrect goal difference e.g. you predict Reading 3-1 Wolves and the result is Reading 1-0 Wolves
2 point - if you get the prediction completely wrong, you still get one point for taking part!

Bonus Points

You get bonus points for three things:

4 points - correct half-time score
10 points - correct goalscorer (NOTE: this season you get points for correctly predicting the goalscorers of both Reading AND their opposition. You only get the points if the team score the same amount of goals as you predicted or more. This prevents prediction of ridiculous scorelines for more points.)
10 points - correctly predicting the 'bonus question'.

Please put the score in this format:

Reading 3-2 Wolves (HT: 1-0)
Hector
Taylor
Murray
Henry
Evans

...followed by your answer to the 'bonus question'...

Match bonus question is: what will be the total number of cards shown to both clubs in this match, according to the final BBC stats? Credit will be given for answers not more than 1 away from the sum of the totals as posted by the BBC.

Good luck with your predictions, and very good luck to the Royals! :scarf:

Me too, but I like to predict 0-0 these days. Not going to do that if I have to predict the win either way.

Owlish, title shouldn't technically be "Arsenal at Reading" because it's a neutral stadium. Still, that won't upset my blind confidence!

Reading 1 Arsenal 0

HT 0-0

Scorer: Pog

Cards: 5

Reading 1-0 Arsenal

Williams 79 minutes.

Bonus: 7 cards

I can't bring myself to predict a loss in a game of this magnitude.

Members should stipulate then ...
if match finished 2-2 after ET don't put 3-2 meaning someone won on penalties after 2-2, put make it clear: 2-2 Reading & win on penalties or whatever!!
