I'd like to see the breakdown of the benefits she gets that makes it up to £40k per year. For a start, I thought child allowance was now only for the first two children. But its people like this that make a mockery of the benefit system. She should have been compulsory sterilised years ago, long before her twelfth pregnancy. |

They say a child will cost their parents £80,000 throughout their life time, so hopefully she's saving that money for a 'rainy day'.. The thing with benefits is that there is that we're never going to have a one size fits all policy so you'll always get people at either end who will greatly prosper or greatly struggle with them. |

The average cost of raising a child is £230,000 according to the Daily Telegraph. I find that figure very hard to believe. I suspect it's nearer the £80,000 mark. Receiving 40,000 in benefits is the equivalent of earning a £60,000 plus salary. Of course it's not right. If you can't afford kids then don't have them. |
