I think Russia will do no more than make Turkey sweat over this fighter incident, but if Turkey were to do it again, whatever the provocation, Russia will hit them hard. And that has scary implications for all of us. |

Looks like Cameron will get his own way about bombing in Syria. Can't stand the idiot Corbyn, but I hope he can convince some of his MP's to vote against Cameron. |

You'd think we'd have learnt our lesson by now. If there was something of an end plan I'd feel different, but there isn't. |

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-34980061 "According to the BBC's latest research, of the 640 MPs likely to vote, 360 MPs are in favour of the motion while 170 are against. Of the remainder, 20 are "leaning to" supporting the government, three are "leaning against" while 87 are undecided." 360 MPs in favour will see the motion pass. I reckon it will end up being something like: In favour: Con - 319 Lab - 40 DUP - 8 Lib - 8 UUP - 2 UKIP - 1 Ind - 1 TOTAL: 379 Against or abstaining: Lab - 189 SNP - 54 Con - 10 PC - 3 SDLP - 3 Ind - 2 (both suspended from SNP) Grn - 1 TOTAL: 262 There is no realistic way that the UK won't be bombing Syria following the vote. |

I'm no pacifist Clyde, and would always support military action when its absolutely necessary. The last time this country had a justifiable reason to take military action was back in 1982 over the Falklands, and that was borderline in my view. So once again, as with Iraq and Afghanistan, I'll be saying "Not in my name". |

This - the UK should only be involved in military operations if the UK is attacked. |

That's not good is it! - thought was against the Geneva convention. Not quite sure what Russia are doing atm. Sabre rattling with us, flying close to/over our air space, flying over Turkey's (with all consequences attached), waging their own campaigns... I guess is Putin is showing what a "strong man" he is to his people. |
