Aston Villa are bottom of the premiership for Christmas and after 17 of 38 games they have a paltry 7 points (1 win and 4 draws). They are 5 points behind 2nd bottom Sunderland and ten points off 4th bottom and safety. Even in this position new manager Remi Garde thinks they can do it and believes Aston Villa need to win 10 of their remaining 21 games to stand a chance of avoiding relegation. So then can a team that rock bottom really turn it around and survive?. Sorry, but cannot see Aston Villa being a threat to the 106 for a few seasons at least. Club has been in serious decline since Martin O' Neill walked out a few days before the season start a few years back. Transfer dealings have been ridiculously rubbish to say the least, managers with goals to avoid relegation and very running of the club at board level. Next Leeds if their not careful. |
