Re the new thread thing I post on various boards and have never had this problem.
Well I'm assuming the obvious here, but you have tried going into the main headings before trying to start a new thread have you?

Sorry if you have and what I'm saying sounds daft, but its the sort of obvious mistake I would make.

None of the main headings have a new thread option. Its bizarre. I often start threads on other boards but can't on here.

I'm very sorry Mike ... go to any forum's main page listing the topic headings, for example for thos the News section: http://royalsrendezvous.co.uk/forum/3598622

Don't you see towards top right hand corner (above the topic list) a rectanle shaded blue with "New Topic" - new in white lettering and topic in orange-y ???

Jus to add in Active topics I have an option to add a reply which seems to take the place of the New topic option.

So you can get as far as starting a new thread, ie writing in the text box, but its not there when you press post? Another stupid suggestion, but do you always give the thread a title in the title box?

Have I been a bit thick here. Do you have to go into news and current events to start a new thread?

See below Keith. I now realise that I can start a new thread by going into the news and current/past events option. The new topic option shows up there. :D I'm a bit slow ^_^

Well if you can start a new thread in one section you should be able to start one in all sections.

Anyway, sounds like you're making some progress ;)

This really is odd.The news/current and past events option has now disappeared. I can only get onto it via David's link.
