From the South Bank to the East Stand
So it's just been announced that Pellegrini is to leave Manchester City in the summer and Pep Guardiola is going to replace him in June. Given his success at Barcelona and Bayern, and the amount of money City have, could this mean that City will totally dominate the EPL for the foreseeable future, a la 90's Man Utd. I suspect the jury could be out on this one. So many great managers have attempted to make City dominate but quite a lot have fallen short, especially in the Champions League.

Also, will this mean that Pep will raid Bayern/Barca for their stars?

Man City do know that managers aren't subject to the transfer deadline, don't they? ;) :P

I can't say I'm too surprised at this news, he was definitely coming to the Premiership and City seemed like the likely destination. The owners will know he is their best chance at achieving big in Europe, and he can bring even more talent to the club. I worry about the gulf this could create in the Premiership in years to come as they could become much more impressive than surrounding teams and really take a stranglehold of the league, but Guardiola isn't Superman. He will have to adjust to a league unlike any other he has worked with before, and it may not work out well for him.
