First off in terms of the Palace fan viewpoint is to show you that Palace fans are pretty confident of getting through to the Semis: The Holmesdale Reading away http://www.holmesdale.net/page.php?id=106&tid=158541 I'll get individual comments up as we get nearer the event ... |

I can understand why Palace are confident of reaching the semis when you think they are a Premier League side at the moment playing a team from the Championship. That said I think we have a good chance of making it ourselves especially playing at home. Palace haven't exactly played brilliantly recently and are having trouble scoring themselves. Pardew coming back will spice the atmosphere up a bit more than normal. Palace fans are always loud when they come to the Madejski even if some of their chanting is a bit annoying |

give them due, they've always treated me very well on the 'Holmesdale' and have entered in quite big numbers in the Inter-Forum games; mind you they always keep one eye on how Brighton are doing!!

Holmesdale bicycle repair man "Hats off to Reading f.c.,they've done a great job with the ticket pricing. The cost of the tickets is very reasonable especially for such a big game, makes a nice change. If it was at selhurst the tickets would have been double the price. And we all know that FA cup ties can be played on all sorts of different days because TV companies pay the money, so they call the tune." muffinbrucie "Driving out of London on a Friday night will be a nightmare, trains will be packed also. Even the palace coach will be a struggle, makes you think the men in charge didn't consider the fans" Kermit8 "3,800 (tickets) I believe. Any other London club with clout would sell out their allocation easily so don't understand the whingeing about a Friday night." Premier fan "Disagree. A lot of people with work commitments A lot of kids go to Palace these days and can't see any responsible adults wanting them home after midnight which could be likely. Reading doesn't have the attraction as other clubs. These are just a few reasons why I believe tickets will not sell as fast as some people might think. I completely understand the whingeing on this one especially as it's all last minute." CPFC_Albert "Get a grip everyone. It's in Reading, not up North and it's the QUARTER FINALS of the FA cup. If you wanted to go you would go. Too many whingers on here for my liking." gambler "Spot on! Anyone would think you needed a passport to get to Reading judging by this! "The traffic will be terrible" , "the trains will be packed". Would you bother to go if it was played at the end of your garden or would you just sit in your favourite armchair and watch the tv. Laughable it really is!" bicycle repair man "Blimey,if fans find travelling to Reading too much of an ordeal it's lucky we're not in Europe, they'd have to venture outside the country then! But of course we are going to sell out,all the tickets will be gone in a couple of days, especially at those prices." |

If Reading FC were sitting in the Premier League and CP were in the Championship, even both mid-table, I'd have a bit higher degree of confidence than I do with the reverse situation in place. That said, I think Reading have a very fair chance against a club that is trying to steal one of MY national symbols! If they want the Bird, I guess I can flip 'em a pair... Or I'll let them have the one that Ben Franklin suggested for the USA - the Turkey. |

This game will sell out. Maybe a Friday night is not ideal for some, but it's the Cup quarter final ffs! |

This. We sold out for the Bradford replay on a Monday night - so I don't see why we won't sell out for a Friday night game (which younger people would be more likely to go to). |

Looking forward to getting my tickets tomorrow morning as I'm wanting to get a 3rd ticket in Y25 for the missus since she enjoyed the last game so much. Palace fans will be far more up for it on an evening game than West Brom were, I still can't believe how poor they were |

The club have been superb here. Twenty quid for my ticket and just a fiver for Zip J. Superb value for money. Speaking with a mate who supports the Hammers and they are being charged £55 for adults and £27 for children for their Cup tie with Man Utd. If we cannot sell out at these prices we don't deserve to go to Wembley. Anyway really looking forward to the game sittting in our usual spot high up in the North Stand. G'arn urzzz |
