The Royals take a nice recent home record (5 wins, 3 draws, no losses) on the road with them as they travel to the Valley this Saturday. That needs to be in the minds of the club, not the dismal recent away form (1 win, 3 draws, 7 losses in their last 12 away matches). Charlton have not been very successful at home recently (1 win, 7 draws and 4 losses in their last 12 home matches), but have secured 10 points at home while the Royals have only gained 6 as a road club. Can the Royals 'take their show on the road' this Saturday and bring 3 points back from the Valley against a determined and dangerous Addicks side? What is your prediction for this match? Points System - 10 points - correct result e.g. you predict Charlton 1-3 Reading and the result is Charlton 1-3 Reading (includes an exact draw prediction; draw result & correct score). 7 points - correct outcome with correct goal difference e.g. you predict Charlton 1-3 Reading and the result is Charlton 0-2 Reading. 5 points - correct outcome with incorrect goal difference e.g. you predict Charlton 1-3 Reading and the result is Charlton 0-5 Reading (this result includes a draw with the wrong score e.g. you predict a 1-1 draw and the result is 0-0). 1 point - if you get the prediction completely wrong, you still get one point for taking part! Bonus Points You get bonus points for three things: 5 points - correct half-time score 2 points - correct goalscorers, for each goalscorer predicted that does indeed score (NOTE: this season you get points for correctly predicting the goalscorers of only Reading FC. You only get the points if Reading score the same amount of goals as you predicted or more.) 5 points - correctly predicting the 'bonus question' within the specified tolerance. If one person comes closest to the actual value, that person will receive 7 points, but if two or more are both equally close, only the 5 points will be awarded. Please put the score in this format: Charlton 1-3 Reading (HT: 0-2) [Home x-y Away format] Williams Cooper Vydra ...followed by your answer to the 'bonus question'... How many total corners (Reading plus Charlton) will be awarded in this match, according to the BBC stats? Credit will be given for a prediction within two of the sum of the posted BBC count. If you believe there will be no corner kicks for either club in this match, make your prediction 'None'. Good luck with your prediction and to the Royals come Saturday afternoon! The question is (and perhaps not as clearly put as I had thought) is how many saves will the Reading keeper (Al-Habsi, I expect) make. I'll edit the question a bit to try to be more clear... After further consideration, I'm going to change the bonus question entirely. Saves would likely be too low a number for a reasonable range of results. Edited by Owlish52, 24 Feb 2016, 02:02 PM.
