This is a real sad story about a once great team that now languishes at the bottom.

It is not my story but it is on the BBC and perhaps they explain the sentiment and feeling in Spain far better than I could but have a read about a team that beat Bechkham's Madrid 3-0 only ten years ago that now struggles to pay wages and the gates barely cover the other running costs etc.

The story is at http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35884725

I really hope they can keep going and get back where they once were.

I had put it up yesterday - http://royalsrendezvous.co.uk/topic/9863597/27 - but you're right, this is worthy of a topic.

I've seen them live a few times in the primera and seond divisions, seemed impossible that they'd not be playing a decent role in Andalusian football. On a par with Stockport County, no, perhaps even worse off ...

Good luck to them, I hope they pull through. Not dissimilar to Blackpool's plight. An uncaring board who are just to stubborn to sell up for the good of the club.
