Naz Shah and Ken Livingstone suspended in two days. Not going very well for Corbyn so far is it? It surely only has to be a matter of time before Dianne Abbott says something stupid ^o)

Labour 3 points ahead in the latest YouGov.
As it happens the Parliamentary party is a shambles at the moment but that's not down to Corbyn. Besides look at the massive divide in the Tories. As for UKIP want their Suzanne Evans kicked out because of a dispute with Farage. If Labour are in crisis so are the Tories and UKIP.

Can't argue with that Mike. The tories have a lot of in fighting, and a lot of problems to sort out. UKIP are neither here nor there because they're not a major party. But Corbyn surrounded himself with radicals, so is reaping what he has sown. He have done better to have recruited a few more Andy Burnham types, people who understand what diplomacy is.

I used to like Burnham but then I heard his creeping, fawning letter to Prince Charles when he was in Government and my view of him changed Keith.

I have a similar view Mike. A year or so before the last general election I saw him as a potential leader of the party, I think we had this conversation previously, but I felt he was weak to become part of Corbyns team so readily, having been one of those who was so dismissive of him during the leadership challenge.

But when you look at some of the people Corbyn could have brought into the shadow cabinet, against those he eventually did, I really think he missed a trick. It just started to look like the bad old days of the looney left

Weren't they about that ahead in the last general election polls too Mike? Look how that ended up!
Labour's response was to fill the vacancy with an ex communist! Good luck!
Don't get it myself :ermm:

On another note the MP who had a go at Ken today in front of all the cameras needs shooting IMO (metaphorically speaking of course). Talk about self inflicted wounds! I clearly have no love for Labour, but if I was Corbyn I would be reading the riot act to him! Not exactly helping matters was he, whether right or wrong in what he said.

Pollsters have changed their methodology since the election, though. The first real test of how accurate they are now will be Thursday's elections in London, Scotland and Wales.

I just watched George Galloway on Sky news. I can't stand the bloke, nor anything he stands for, but he made a lot of sense about this Ken Livingstone business, and the Labour party in general. He gave it a completely different perspective for me.

I have to say that I am no Red ken fan but I have to say hats off to him on that rant from the other MP.
He didn't raise an eyebrow or get upset just let the guy rant on. That was extremely cool.

Myself I think I would have had to turn around and plant one on the guy.

Agree with your point about Mann Glenn. Clearly playing up to the media and doing nothing whatsoever to help his party at all.
Re the opinion polls they are now supposedly more accurate in that they carry weightings. Pre General Election the polls were flawed because too many younger people were asked their voting intentions and too few older people were asked. As younger people are more likely to vote Labour but not actually turn out to vote and the grey vote is more pre disposed to the Tories and more likely to vote the polls were distorted. This has allegedly been rectified although I have my doubts.
