Agree with your point about Mann Glenn. Clearly playing up to the media and doing nothing whatsoever to help his party at all.
Re the opinion polls they are now supposedly more accurate in that they carry weightings. Pre General Election the polls were flawed because too many younger people were asked their voting intentions and too few older people were asked. As younger people are more likely to vote Labour but not actually turn out to vote and the grey vote is more pre disposed to the Tories and more likely to vote the polls were distorted. This has allegedly been rectified although I have my doubts.
I think most pollsters have started to resolve this, by removing people who say they aren't certain to vote. It'll be interesting to see how that plays out.

Crisis for Labour as they lose their 100% majority in Manchester :P

Manchester City Council:
Lab - 95 seats (-1)
Lib - 1 seat (+1)

Seriously though, the media are going to be really disappointed by the local elections. They've only lost 24 councillors, compared to 35 for the Tories, and most of those appear to be going to the Lib Dems (+39) and UKIP (+26) - both of whom were on lower national support than they are now.

It's a steady start for Corbyn in England and one Labour can build on.

Absolutely James. Scotland was dire. No hiding from that BUT Wales was very good as only 1 seat less than their best ever polling there. Yet the BBC and others are saying it's really poor. London will be very good for Labour. I think Rees will win the Bristol mayoral race for them too. Many of the England Council results are positive too and Labour ahead of the Tories on the national share of the vote.
The by Election results following on from Oldham have been very positive too.

The establishment attack against Corbyn is disgraceful particular!y Laura Kuenssberg who until today seemed to be forgetting that seven Police constabularies are investigating Tory overspending at last years General Election. Bless her she needs to understand her remit is to be balanced and
impartial and not a Tory cheerleader.

Despite the media obsession about attacking Corbyn these are perfectly decent results....Scotland apart.
