READING v WATFORD With no time to recover after the huge disappointment of Sheffield United, we’ve got to go straight into preparations for Watford on Saturday. Luckily Watford’s form is no better than ours – a shade worse even – and a strange coincidence that we both recorded our last league win on 15th January. So this should be an accessible game in theory for us – but is confidence sufficiently high to get the rewards? I think it is – just. Won’t be a pretty game I’d hunch, but I’m going for: Reading 1 Watford 0 (Reading hanging on, but not giving away a late goal this time). Over for your predos ... Daib0 |

Come on boys, even though we're sick about last night, we've got a game in barely three days - who's gonna dare a Reading win then?! Maybe Saturday night we'll be in entirely different spirits ... |

Another tough game but, hopefully, we can get back to winning ways. With Leigertwood back (which is a massive help) I think we can take all three points. Not easy but McDermott likes playing at home. We can beat anyone at home if we are at our best. We havent had a top drawer display for a while so maybe Saturday will see the Royals back at their best. 2-1 win. I can see us conceding but I think we will have learnt our lesson from the last few games and hold out. Come on URZ! |

I thought we did much better with our crosses/set pieces that usual last match. Still doesn't mean they were great - but players were actually getting on the end of them for once, but the finishing was dreadful. With legs back, I assume we will go back to the trusted 442, with Tabb keeping his place with a better performance on tuesday. Watford are a good fast attacking side, so we really needed pearce to be fit for this match to help us get a much needed clean sheet. I'll pop for 2 - 0 Reading, but that is very very optamistic; I sense a draw, probably 0 - 0. Long and Pearce(if he plays)/Mills to score for us. |

5-1 Reading. We have a serious point to prove. Any less amount of goals and I'll get angry.. |

I have a really bad feeling about tomorrow. We're coming off the back of four poor results, two draws we should have won and two defeats we should have drawn. I'm not so sure that the team will be firing on all cylinders after those results, and love him as I do, I'm not sure McDermott, who is still a rookie manager, has the experience to lift the teams confidence. I really hope I'm wrong, but my prediction tomorrow is 2-1 to Watford. |
