READING v PRESTON This mid-week game is a game that was originally postponed due to our cup heroics. So it’s an ideal opportunity to gain yet more ground, whilst our close competitors have to sit nervously over their shoulders looking at our performance! Do you know what the best thing is? Well, we’ve been three times in 6th place this season; after Ipswich at home (28th September), Doncaster at home (30th October) and after Hull away (28th December) and in ALL three occasions we were not able to hang onto 6th place the following game. Whatever the outcome this time we’re guaranteed 6th spot (‘cos as I said the others don’t play!), though obviously if we can gun a win it’d be a grand advance: just one point behind Leeds (5th) and only three behind Swansea (4th) and Cardiff (3rd). Indeed, it just might be that even Norwich in second, although still 7 pts ahead if Reading win, would start to get more nervous of us than our competitors! So to the predictions ... I’m obviously going for the Reading optimism and match play at the moment. Think it will be: Reading 4 Preston 0 However, just a straight-forward grafted 1-0 would suffice for me ... So over for your predos ... and see note underneath! Daib0 Important note: This game is a mid-week game so NO, doesn’t COUNT towards the new competition for members “FORMULA 1871 – Predictions of Reading games”!! Next match for our prediction competition is Nottm Forest v Reading THIS Saturday That prediction thread will be up almost directly after the Preston match ... |

Preston 1 - Reading 0 (there's a theme developing here. Until things change I'm keeping my predictions on this track... Happy to be bottom of the Predictions league!) |
