Not exactly football pure and pure, but these photos surely shaped the lives of all at the club and the local population generally.
The majority are from the sixties, and some just before that era.
Photos are roughly in newest first, oldest last order – more or less!
It's true I dedicate this to Suffolk, William & Hayes - their interest and knowledge of the town is without question, but it's equally interesting for anyone who takes a pride in what Reading used to be like, and where it has come from!

I read that the following photo was Reading district taken in 1949, but I can't place it - any ideas anyone?

That is Palmer Park,certain,the A329 would be this side of the train tracks now,on the left of the picture my great gran used to live in Wyckam Road

nah, London Road takes the Wokingham Bracknell line doesn't it? Looks mainline to Paddington to me ... but that playing field?
