F.A. Cup First Round - possible Cup upsets on the cards?

OK, back to the MAGIC of the F.A. Cup - first round proper is this weekend. Seeing as Reading do not have a game on due to another international break, why not have a browse at this idea as a ONE-OFF prediction game, but nothing to do with our official Prediction Game.

Have a look at the teams - there are League 1, League 2, Blue Square Premier and even lower included on the list. I'd like to invite you to call for FIVE matches where you see a possible upset on the cards! By upset, it must obviously be a lower league side winning against a higher league side. You haven't got to give any score, simply calculate winning team!

If in your selected games a lower league side does indeed win you have 3 points. If the lower league side force a replay then it is 1 point. A chance example would be: Notts County (L1) v Accrington (L2) away win ...

But ... bonus - if you choose a winner from TWO tiers lower then those points are DOUBLED (an example might be home win for Maidenhead v Aldershot).
If it's THREE tiers (or more) then it's TRIPLED (e,g. if you predict an away win in MK Dons v Nantwich Town).

This is the betting man's stuff - the more you risk with tier difference the more points you get, but there again, an upset is much less likely!! So you need to weigh things up!! As an extra help, I'm colouring all those teams which are BENEATH the tier of the Football League. I imagine you'll fairly quickly pick up who's in Div 1 and Div 2, and you'll therefore know who is in Blue Square Premier because they are in blue, and if they are underneath BSP level they're in red!

Have fun - answers on the thread please - CARFEFUL closing time: 7.00pm FRIDAY night (that's because there's a Friday game on!). Points and placings for this one-off experiment on Sunday night!

If you like it, we'll repeat it!

Have not entered the prediction competition but will chuck my two pence on what I think is going to happen:

1. Bromley to beat last seasons surprise package Leyton Orient (what comes around goes around)
2. Maidenhead Utd to beat Aldershot (Fairy tale stuff from their team and stadium's history)
3. Bath City to beat Dagenham & Redbridge (Dagenha & Redbridge have lost 10 of their last 11 games)
4. Southport to beat Barnet (Fact: Southport were originally relegated from the Blue Square Premier but got a reprive and were reinstated because Rushden & Diamonds became bunkrupt)
5. Blue Square Premier favourites Fleetwood Town to beat always league 1 strugglers and relegaters Wycombe Wanderers

There you are, I may go to the Bromley game just to see my premonition come true ;-)
