Now all you cyclists, tell me,is there a different law for you in Reading. When you jump the lights and just miss the cars that are coming across you do you think it's funny. When you ride in the middle of the inside lane up the A33cant you see the 15ft cycle path that cost a few grand if you cared to look to your left? Another thing, those flickering lights that you got on your head like Beachy Head lighthouse,do you know that they half blind motorists coming the other way.Reading seem to have the worse cyclists in the universe, perhaps it's time the government made them pay say 50quid a year road tax.I know motorist sometime p@@s you off and they can be just as annoying to you,but come on,obey the law.

I don't think that's just a problem of Reading though to be honest - it's a problem all round. One thing that p*sses me off in Spain is that it's only legally obligatory for a front cycle light at night, at the back a reflector will do - and 70% don't even have that. But skipping lights is almost universal, surely?!

As daib0 says, cyclists are the same wherever you go. I worked in London for six years and some of the accidents and near misses I saw were, invariably, as a direct result of idiot bike riders. I live close to Cambridge and we regularly go there for shopping. The cyclists are an absolute nightmare, they seem to think that cars have no right to be on the same roads as them.

Stuff like this really gets on my nerves. ^o) Yes, a lot of Cyclists flout the rules, but a lot of us don't. How many of you sitting behind your PC/ Tablet or whatever actually Cycle, ever?

I drive and Cycle so I can see both points of view. This makes me very considerate to both parties when on the road. I do stop at Red lights, I do give way. Doesn't stop 90% of motorists being self absorbed, inconsiderate A-holes!

I've had a few accidents over the years, and they've all beeen caused by the motorist. Either too close, going too fast, or in one exception, driving down my side of the road in the wrong direction!

Those of you lambasting Cyclists need to take a trip out onto the roads of England sometime and experience what I do over 200 days of the year!

Well that told us,all respect to you mate, you put the opposite view admirably.Just wish they were all like you,but I did say drivers were at fault as well.As a pro driver that drives cars and 18tonners,most cyclist pi@@@me off but then as you say,we only see our side of it.The last time I rode a bike was in 1960,on my way to school!
