Looks like Southampton have thrown it away again. Southampton's defence is poor, and their centre-back has scored yet another own goal.

I couldn't have written that at a worse time. 2-2.

Yep, but still that'll be seen as 2 points dropped, at home to an average mid table team who have an awful home record, if we beat Fulham in three weeks that is already 2 points gained on Southampton. Liverpool away is a big game for us. Get a point or dare I say win our situation would change completely.

I only listened to snatches of the game. But from what I heard, it was more of the same from the Saints. Good attacking football, causing massive problems to the opposition. They have a very good team with some marvellous individual players. I'm sure they will click eventually and, when they do, they'll start to climb the table.

I only wish I could say the same for us.

I also heard more of the poor defending and individual mistakes that we to have been making, they have some marvellous individual players, we have a team. We are 6 games into the season. Don't Panic.

I don't see how they are much stronger then us. Last season they relied heavily on Lambert. This season they brought some championship quality players and Ramirez.

I didn't think Southampton were that good last year - take Lambert out and they would've finished around 10th. They just had momentum that carried them forward. This year they've lost that already and it should be much harder for them, epically considering they like scoring own goals. They've only won one league game - against a very poor Aston Villa side. We'll see how far Southampton have came though, they have West Ham next game. They have a run of games which they should pick up points in, but so do we...

They've played seven as well. They may do have some marvellous players, but I do agree that we're more of a team. I doubt they have the depth needed if they have an injury crisis. Everyone needs to remember we were in and around the Championship relegation zone about this time last year, but we do have the players to get us into a safe mid-table finish.

They do have good attacking football, but they can't defend well. The same can be said for us though, thank god we have McCarthy in goal...

Agreed, they have some good players but Lambert was key last year. I get the feeling that the bottom two are already in place in QPR and Norwich, the last dreaded place in the bottom three could go down to the wire, expect us, Wigan, Saints and Villa to be in an almighty battle to escape. It is an intriguing scenario and it is one I unfortunately for us can see becoming a reality. Four teams, 1 relegation spot, who knows what'll happen.
