I dont want to say this but the writing for this show was really horrible after episode 10. I really like this show, but if they drag on andy and luke for that long, for 6 episodes, I will probably not watch those espisodes, maybe come back episode 7 or not at all. I can't imagine luke and andy screentime getting any more boring.
I absolutely agree with this the writing on this show is down right horrible sometimes if it not for the fact that they have a great group of talented actors particularly the veterans this show would have scrapped.Their plot lines are predictable every episode ends neat and tidy all's well that ends well isn't this a police drama?I love Ben and the rest of the cast but I second the notion that I may bypass episodes 1-6 if the Luke/Andy drama continues To me Missy and Eric are good actors but they lack believability as a couple I'm not saying it cause I like Ben there just isn't a spark , I blame the writers for failing to develop a proper triangle. My one wish since the day Season 1 ended is that Tassie and Co. did seriously take fan feedback to heart especially ending this painful Landy relationship. There is nothing worse than a bunch of egotistical writers that are hell bent on doing things their way regardless of audience opinion i mean who's keeping the show on the air and you employed. It been a while since I vented I needed to do this.
I dunno. I think a creative team without a strong vision that drifts along too much based on fan reaction is, or can be, just as bad.

I think that they have a strong vision. My hope is that the eventual vision is Sam/Andy and with the fan reactions, they will speed things up and at least break up Luke and Andy.

Just to be clear, I wasn't saying the I don't think the RB team has a strong vision. I was saying be careful what you wish for in terms of responsiveness to fan feedback because in general you can end up with a mess if that's taken too far.

That's very true. But giving promise only to break them - just as bad.
If you say nice things to audience to keep their attention, but do things you own way - be prepared to lose their confidence.
People are not stupid, they have already seen enough of excellent, mediocre and bad television to understand difference between them.

I think the writers know this - if you noticed, they are being VERY careful about what they say. The cast members are also extremely tight lipped about what happens in each episode.

Good if it's so. But if they watchful silence is part of advertising campaign, we will know it soon.

No your right there has to be a balance you have to have a plan but getting feedback is also important.I think back to a TV show called Roswell anyone remember it? They had tremendous potential the premise was interesting 3 teenage aliens in high school, the love story between Max the alien and Liz the high school girl, in the 2nd season they played the love triangle game brought in a new girl Tess, it bombed. The show survived its 1st season cause fans loved the idea and the love story and saved it through a campaign. After the 2nd season where the writers gambled on the "love triangle" it survived cause the network changed from the WB to the CW and they needed an audience.Point of this trip down memory lane writers went with their vision saw a devoted fan base thought people would buy it hell no in the end 3rd season they tried to back track it was too late fans never recovered got fed up with where the story was going...canceled! Its a dangerous game what's driving this show is that core relationship. All those other elements (suspense, drama, even comedy)aren't written as well in my opinion so its not like they have a lot to fall back on to keep the audience.

I remember the Roswell-drama.
It was not quite as rookie21 telling, but problem transferred accurately. Authors were more passionate about creating angst and inventing reasons to separate characters, than to develop relationships and work on the plot. And it was not news for fans. From second season they was quite vociferously expressed their dissatisfaction with story progress. But lead author on show was so impressed with his ideas, that led show with firm hand to a catastrophic drop in ratings. And at the end of third season was impression that there is not one single satisfied fan exist.

Chuck just tweeted a link to a little interview of Greg during the Geminis:

Out of all the rookies last season, your character definitely was lacking in the romance department. Any chance Dov will get a girlfriend this season?

Yeah, I think so and maybe more than one!

Greg is absolutely brilliant and I can't wait to see what Dov is up to in S2. He was really nervous about the reaction to Epstein vs Ephram on Everwood and I tweeted him that Epstein is a big hit. Matt Gordon is a really funny guy in real life too and we had the pleasure of hanging out with him on 11/16. I plan on doing even more Rookie Blue promotion to get the word out in my area and as a way to thank the cast/crew for the wonderful set visit. Just can't say enough good things about them,as they really are like a family and it was an honor to be in the Wonderful World of Rookie Blue for 2 days.

You can tell what a short man I really am in this pic,LOL!

You could tell that Greg was nervous in the first episodes. But he certainly found his groove.
