Chuck Snitchler, the guy who supports Rookie Blue on Facebook postet this about the DVD Relase:
Quote:

We all want an S1 DVD set and I'm sure it will be released, but no news on that front yet. However,it would be a great idea to contact E1 Entertainment and tell the good people there that we all would like a Rookie Blue Season 1 DVD,this way we might help get it released a lot sooner, since they will be made aware in the... overwhelming interest in it! http://www.e1tv.com/

I think we all should write E1 Entertainment that we want a DVD set. I really want a DVD set of the first season, so I can watch every episode over and over again, to make the wait more bearable. :D

I think they already know of the overwhelming interest though because of all the hype Rookie Blue has been getting w/the ratings and gaining fans and momentum. And its going to face-off against Vampire Diaries(at least half of it will). I don't think it'll take long to get Rookie Blue on DVD.

ETA: I hope we get a lot of deleted scenes!

Generally there are a lot of deleted scenes but they incorporate it into the episodes like in my Friends season DVDs.

Sometimes, the bloopers are better than the show. Have you seen the Friends Bloopers? Funnier than a few episodes!

So cool that you can already get it on DVD - but that one isn't the official one... I'm holding out for the official one since it would have any deleted scenes or bloopers! Those would rock!

I think there will be different versions of the official DVD.
For different countries and regions will be different context. As always do.

That is not the official DVD release,so I wouldn't purchase that. It could be just recordings from the TV or the internet,so I would just steer clear of that. Ilana Frank sent me a message telling me that it looks like the S1 DVD should come out prior to airing of S2,but no date on that yet. I'll keep my eyes open for news and post it on Twitter,FB and this board.
Again if you see another one of those unofficial releases, don't consider it!

I have Amazon.com notifying me when it comes out. Anyone know how else to know when the official DVDs come out? I guess the cast/crew will Tweet about it...
