As much as it seems as though Andy didn't react, there is a slight twitch of her face if you watch carefully. Also, the camera is on Sam when he actually says "you". If her eyes widened slightly as he said it, we wouldn't necessarily see Andy's reaction if she clamped it down because remember, she's happy with Luke.

ETA: About the cast interview extra that Cythy uploaded, one AND A HALF girlfriends for Dov?? I hope that doesn't mean a Gail hook-up. But I get a bit of a bad feeling about that...
Nah, I think he will be dating a single mom.
Now THAT would be interesting! Dov would really have to grow up fast.

Hope you're right Cythy. I just don't want all the chemistry of their scenes to have gone totally flat, even before all the complications ensue and Andy's illusions with Luke are shattered.

Chemistry can be of different nature. Not necessarily that this season it will be the same as in the past - the flirtation with sexual overtones. Maybe this year it will be more severe, raw and burning.

Of course. I wasn't even necessarily talking about the sexual tension and low-key flirting only. I'm open for something new and interesting between them along the rocky road, given where things left off last season. I just hope their being on different wavelengths turns out interesting awkwardness/tension, not tamped down flat scenes. Anyway, there will be lots of good storylines for other characters in the first half of the season, if the Sam/Andy scenes lack a little spark for a while.

I think that the sparks will be enough. Such angry, sarcastic sparks, if you know what I mean. :D

Actually, that's one of the few times I thought Missy's timing was just a little off in her rhythm interacting with Ben. (seemed like she should have paused an extra beat before saying a couple of her lines, like "What's holding you back?) Maybe it was because Oliver was there, and she thought Andy would react differently than the usual scenes when they were alone last year?? Not only did she not react at all to his blurting out "you," she didn't show any surprise that he was having second thoughts about going. Total blank face and then rushed into the line--feeling awkward because Ollie is observing wouldn't mean she'd need to be quite that stiff.
I agree. Not to knock Missy or anything, and hopefully we'll get more from it when the scene is in context, but there was NO REACTION! I get that she's supposed to be in this "perfect" place in her life, but she's never been oblivious to the fact that there's SOMETHING between her and Sam - I was expecting at the very least for her to look uncomfortable, or acknowledge the weight of that statement.

Maybe they tricked us again, and there was more to the scene than we see - like another reaction shot, or something from Oliver.

I'm excited for the new season - love the idea of Dov dating someone with a kid - but I'm apprehensive of how they're going to play out Sam and Andy.

Don't feel pleasure from the fact that I remind this, but last season's finale? No reaction to the fact that Sam was alive and fully oblivious behavior toward him through the entire episode.
For me it's clear now that this was no accident and no negligence on Missy part.

I am thinking it maybe just me but Andy's reaction is just like "What did he just say?" then to deflect the moment she throws the "Hair Gel" moment back at him. As she doesn't really know how to react in her total naivety. She maybe tough to the streets but is totally clueless to things like peoples emotions. If that makes sense.

Also, as it has been pointed out, we only see a snapshot. Sometimes someone says something that is so totally not what is expected that it takes a minute or two to actually sink in. I know it has happened to me where someone has said something surprising and two minutes later I'm like "back up - what did you say" Andy could have a delayed reaction.

This little scene is so out of context, it's hard to tell why either one of them is being so snarky. Now, this clip has me doubly interested to see what was said or what happened BEFORE this concert scene. They both seem a little miffed at one another...and her snarky "practing being a bad cop" thing was very passive aggressive.

ETA: actually, watching it again, I realize Andy's being snarky because she knows Sam is considering going into Guns N Gangs...clearly she has feelings about that.

Subject of Sam transition into the GnG was picked up by Andy, so for her this opportunity is not a novelty, so no shock on the theme at all. Therefore when Sam answered on her question - why he still not moved - she wasn't distracted by struck of this news. She reacted quickly enough to flip him on the nose with acrid remarks.
Just because we want her to have feelings for Sam and be concerned because of his departure, that doesn't make it a validity on the screen.
Of course, to each his own. But after Missy words that Andy is completely in love with Luke, and after all what I saw and read in the promotional materials, I will not loger bother to seek out signs of Andy feelings for Sam. When this happens - it happens. And lesser than loud and clear I will not take. And she can feel free to use microphones, loudspeakers, billboards and the frequency of police radios.

My DVD finally started working on my computer and I think I have just watched that part 20 times. First of all, there is a little facial reaction from Andy. Second, the camera cuts back to Andy but watch Oliver's reaction when Sam says you.

I just watched it again and couldn't really see Oliver's reaction... :-( But I did think that Sam and Andy kind of seem mad at each other - definitely can't wait to see the context around that scene.

To change the topic from Andy's reaction or lack of it in that clip - I just finished the fourth DVD. In the US version we got the Stryker reports - which was aired on Global (although we all saw it anyway!). Is that also on the Canadian DVDs or did they get something else - like the episode commentary (because we're still missing a few episodes on this site). Also, can someone either recap the Canadian preview or post it?

Both Canada and the US are Region 1 as far as DVD distribution, so I'm sure they're identical.

I thought they'd be the same too, but then someone mentioned a different clip at the front of the first DVD? Could it be that they just did a couple different versions of the region 1 DVD?

It's quite possible. In other shows DVD it happens.
