TVDoneWright did point out one possible silver lining--the possibility of edgier plotlines at 10pm. But that only holds if the network had told them they were thinking about this kind of scheduling back when they were shooting. I'm crossing my fingers that was the case, because that would be a major upside to the change.

I think you're right on the money. Just remember how authors and actors mentioned in tweets that show became harder, sharper and more dramatic.
I find it hard to believe the comments about things getting more extreme mean they took it much farther than Grey's Anatomy has and it still gets slotted at 9pm. I mean, Grey's has gone pretty far with gore, intense emotion, and plenty of sex. But maybe I'm wrong?

It's true there's always one fewer network at 10pm because FOX doesn't program a 10pm hour. It goes to local news. But the cable channels put their best dramas on at 10pm. Cross your fingers that AMC doesn't slot Breaking Bad or their zombie blockbuster on Thursdays instead of Sundays. Although, shows like Covert Affairs or Rizzoli & Isles might draw a more similar audience, so maybe I should be more worried about ending up opposite one of them?

So happy that RB finally has an official start date!! Woot! I'm upset about the later time like everyone else, BUT more upset with the even lamer lead in. Wipe-Out is a lame lead-in, but this new show sounds like an even worse one. Hopefully, people will stay tuned in to watch Rookie Blue...sigh.

I don't like the time slot a lot of Grey's anatomy fans watch this show thats actually how I came across it...It was the same time slot as Grey's...10 is late for a lot of people even if its summer I hope that lame game show doesn't do so well and Rookie blue is back on it's slot

If that 101 ways to leave a game show is the same one as here in the UK then yeah IMO its pants. its quite funny because the big shows in the UK tend to get a ten pm time slot Rookie Blue is on at ten pm just now. I dont think we should worry too much I think it will get moved back when on one watches the game shows.

Tassie was on twitter tonight, so I was able to ask her about the time change issue:
Quote:

RB_Phan @TassieCameron Some were wondering if you knew about the time shift to 10pm when you were filming. More leeway for edgy plots? #rookiebluetv

TassieCameron @RB_Phan No, we didn't know what time slot we were going to have - but I think it's a bit edgier anyways - thank you, kismet...

RB_Phan @tassiecameron Nice to see karma working out for the nice peeps for a change then. Doesn't always work that way in Hollywood. *cough* Sheen

chuck197038 @tassiecameron @rb_phan Season 2 is going to be quite a ride! I think the ratings will be great in the 10pm slot. Sending good vibes :)

tassiecameron @chuck197038 Very psyched to have an airdate! And S2's a little tougher, so 10PM's good with us - as long as y'all still tune in...

Good to hear that they are satisfied with the time slot. And it's good to know that the plot will be more edgier!
