Great news for the show being #1 rating show in Canada. Hopefully more people will tune in the US to make that happen there.

Unfortunately, that's not likely. With the football pre-emption, RB was seventy something for the week. I think the best for the season is twenty something.

Yeah sports do have an affect in the ratings. Preseason Football + regional/state opt outs = screwed up ratings and split viewership.

Rookie Blue was the #1 show in Canada last week!!

The Brioux Report: Rookie Blue Moves to Head of the Class

You gotta respect the rookie. Global’s Rookie Blue was the No. 1 show across Canada last week, edging out Big Brother, Flashpoint, Combat Hospital and America's Got Talent among all prime time series.
Could that be cuz fans were anticipating some Sam/Andy pre-love?

It could have been because of that and the thought of seeing Sam and Andy go at it in the boxing scene.

It is a huge issue. September first (episode 2.11) is going to be the big one because I think most teams are playing that Thursday night.

Yeah it will as i know that as my team the Giants are playing the Pats in the final preseason game in Mass. It is on NBC 4 NY in NY. That could be big ratings winner in both Mass and NY.

Not just that - some of the games will be aired on local ABC stations which will also affect the ratings.

Keep in mind that for the next few episodes there are also football games which affect the ratings:
Quote:

ABC saw big gains versus last week when it too had several pre-emptions. Wipeout was up 36% to a 1.9 adults 18-49 rating, Expedition Impossible was up 18% to a 1.3 adults 18-49 rating and Rookie Blue was up 20% to a 1.2 adults 18-49 rating.

ABC Rookie Blue 1.2/4 4.63

I am not worried about the ratings at all. Which i am surprised at as i am usually so nervous when it comes to the overnights.

I'm glad the ratings are doing well but the guy from ABC has already said he really likes the show... Unless the viewers drop by 2 million... I don't think it'll go anywhere!

Yeah if they keep it in the current range it will be a regular season renewal. Some shows in the Winter/Fall schedule have been renewed on a lot less viewers and demo ratings.

"TV By The Numbers"

Rookie Blue was up a tenth to a 1.3 adults 18-49 rating.

Rookie Blue 1.3/4 5.14

So a good week for Rookie Blue ratings wise even though there were state/regional opt outs for football.

You can't really judge by this week, the ratings keep changing because of the football games.

Those numbers are low but the thing is that the NFL season had kicked off too on NBC Packers and Saints.
