Well, I saw the mistake as once again not instinctively being vigilant enough when she's alone in tight quarters with a suspect.

Not a major point, but I just noticed Andy is wearing the same pyjama pants in 2.01 (dancing in the kitchen), as in the end scene of 3.01  .

But she's also wearing it in 2.03 when she finds Luke's ring, so I guess she only has the one pair

She is also wearing them in S2E6 when Luke wants to move the wedding up.

Rewatching Big nickel and I think there is also a good parallele coz at the beginning of recertification, Dov shoots a guy carrying a cellphone not a gun, and in the next episode, looks like he might shoot and kill a disarmed man... Ah "controled circumstances", Oliver was so true.

It was almost the same dangerous situation and Andy did the same "mistake" - she hesitated and put herself in danger.
In fact, I thought Sam would be really pissed off but, surprisingly, he said nothing.
Well he did say..."He's lucky you were the one over the fence." Something like that. :p

Also didn't Sam say something in 1x02 about "rhetorical question" like he did in 3x01 and of course Andy is trying to answer them. :p

In s1 with Luke, Andy mentions the place has great windows. In S2E12 - when Sam asks her which condo did she get. Andy says the one with the all great windows. We see flashes of the great windows in S3E1 & 2.

Watching season 2 .01 similar to 3.01. Oliver tells Dov to go with the girl to the hospital and take notes. In 3.01. Oliver tells Nick to go with the driver to the hospital and take notes of everything.

I don't know if this was mentioned but in 1.01 they went to an apartment 202 and there was a murdered drug dealer. In the 2 hour finale for season 2 (in the first half so 2.12) they went to an apartment 202 were there was also a murdered drug dealer. The reasons as to why they were murdered were almost the same. In 1.01 the guy's sister was ODing on the floor in the apartment and he wanted to know what he gave her. In 2.12 the girl killed the guy because he got her brother using and dealing.

Dov: What does that mean?

Okay, so i noticed this the other day while re-watching some of season 2.

In Season 2 episode 5, Andy wonders about whether she should invite her mother to her wedding, she meets that homeless woman who is avoiding telling her daughter about her money problems. The episode is very centered around mothers.
Then, in season 3 episode 5, we meet Andy's mother for the first time. There's a domestic disturbance involving a family, so lots of family drama once again.

And it even aligns a bit with season 1 episode 5, broad daylight where the son breaks into his own house, his stepfather catches him. Another domestic disturbance involving parents. Traci's role as a mother is emphasized when her secret is uncovered.

Anyways, don't know if that's stretching it, but i couldn't help but notice. And i'm sorry if this has already been discussed elsewhere :)

Actually, that's pretty amazing. I hadn't caught that all those were in the 5th episode of each season.

Wow, good catch!!

And also in that 1x05 episode when Andy's talking down the son when he's holding the gun...isn't that the first time we hear about the fact her mother left? That would tie it into the mother theme even more.

I was just rewatching S1, ep1 and when Andy talks to Luke she asks if he's working homicide out of HQ. He says no, that he's out of 15 because he's been working the Zoe Martinelli case. I can't believe they held on to that story line for so long! I didn't even realize they name dropped Zoe Martinelli so early on.

in 2.02 when Andy and Tori??? (Polly Shannon's character in the episode) were having the conversation about their BF's saying, "I love you." Then when Russell walks in, (Joris Jarksy's character) she says. "Your ears must be burning." In 3.07 when Traci and Andy are talking about saying, "I love you," to their boyfriends Jerry walks in and Traci goes. "Your ears must be burning."
