Peter MacNeill, what can I say about him? Talk about a great actor. Seriously though, he's so great. I recently saw him in the lifetime movie Committed he was absolutely great in that movie. In the mini-series The Summit he was great. I could watch the stuff he's done all day. He really is a versatile actor. Definitely one of the best Canadian Actor's ever.

I know there has been and most likely won't be any Tommy McNally this season but hopefully he'll make a couple of appearances next season. I loved the small role he had in XIII: The Series aswell.

idk if the video in this link will work outside of Canada. But, Season 2 of Call Me Fitz is just around the corner and Peter MacNeill plays Ken Fitzpatrick in the series. The father of Jason Priestly's, Richard "Fitz" Fitzpatrick. He's really great in it. The series is shot in New Minas, Nova Scotia. If I'm not mistaken production for season 3 is already underway.

Peter MacNeill has a twitter page: http://twitter.com/#!/bestusedwheels

& here are the episodes of Call Me Fitz, I don't think he's in every single one but you should watch every single one if you haven't because it's awesome.

I might go through the rest of the stuff listed on his imdb soon. I probably will. It's just his is so long. He's been acting for 40+ years.

Hope he'll find room in this busy schedule to come back for part of RB's S3, especially with the return of Andy's mother....

It's unlikely to get renewed by NBC because the ratings in the U.S. have been really weak. I don't know if the money pencils out for it to be possible to get renewed for Canada only (plus whatever markets outside North America they can sell into).

Hmmm but if he's gonna be in it that means they at least got picked up for a full season because there have already been 15 episodes that aired. On IMDB they list 22 episodes :ermm:

I don't understand why the ratings don't follow, it's a very good TV show. Maybe it took sometime to find its pace but since like ep. 7 it's been great!

It is a really good show, but right now NBC is airing it on Saturday nights. NBC has no regard for any TV show besides reality and competition shows. I really hate to say it :hide: , but I don't have high hopes for Saving Hope just because it's on NBC and against Rookie Blue and reruns of The Mentalist (which usually win the 10pm time slot) in the US. It seems like NBC is just floating along until the Olympics begin. I admit, I rarely watch the network during primetime (only for my local news, Leno, Fallon, and SNL). It is the least watched network of the top four (ABC, Fox, and CBS).

Yeah, it's really struggling even though it has some good shows. Almost all the best comedies are on NBC, but hardly anyone watches them. They watch the trash lowest common denominator ones on CBS instead. Awake is another good show of theirs that hasn't really caught on.

There are a few good comedies on NBC! I do sometimes watch them, it's just they are up against other shows that I watch.

I would love to see Peter's appearance on The Firm and hopefully I will be able to! :D

@sillygyrl: did he mention which episode(s) he'd be in by any chance? I hope I can catch him in it too (well I've been watching all the episodes so there's no reason I wouldn't be able to^^)

that sucks that the Firm is gone :(
loved Callum Keith Rennie in it, too!

Apart from the ratings and scheduling probs, Josh Lucas gave a very candid interview on George Stoumboulopoulos's tv show on CBC about the "dramatic creative difficulties" between the main creator and the cast - he talked about what a drudgery it was to go to work, etc., etc.

Here's the link if anyone's interested:
http://www.cbc.ca/strombo/arts-and-entertainment/josh-lucas-on-working-on-the-firm-with-shaun-majumder.html (think there's a youtube version, too)

Sounds like the total opposite to the Rookie Blue experience that we hear from the cast, crew, etc! :D ....and hope Peter MacNeil will be back in S3!

That's too bad. I know Jill Carter, who directed some RB episodes, was heavily involved in The Firm.

Thanks for the link! I love Josh Lucas :)

It makes sense, what he says, those where the echoes we had when we went to the RB studios (next door to The Firm)
