Dispatch 1519 calling for backup at Kings, we've got a shooter on the run. Andy picked up the handset and radioed back, "1504 responding." She looked at her partner and saw Oliver lighting up and hitting the gas. She felt the rush of anxious excitement pooling in her stomach as he swerved through traffic. "McNally, isn't 1519 Pecksteins car? What have they gotten themselves into this time round?" Oliver asked her. "No 1519 is Dipsteins car" Andy replied with a smug look. "Dipstein??" Oliver asked. "Yeah you know, Diaz Epstein..Dipstein? Get it?" Andy answered. "Great," Shaw said, shaking his head. "Just when I thought this would be an easy day." Arriving at the scene, Andy asked Dov what was going on. He said that Chris and him were patrolling around the neighbourhood when they heard gunshots coming from the big brown warehouse. Shaw drew his gun and motioned for them to do the same as he looked over and saw two more squad cars arrive. Sam, Noelle, Traci and Gail got out of their cars. The rookies went to the back and the training officers entered the building by the front. Shaw counted down and both doors were kicked in at once, revealing a dark, moldy warehouse, entering it made Andy shiver. Swarek felt a prickling on the back of his neck; a sure sign that something about this wasn't right. As he moved further into the warehouse, he held his gun in front of him, impressively keeping it steady even when his foot bumped into something on the ground and he almost tripped. His arm shot out, instinctively, his hand clutching at William's arm to keep his balance as his eyes moved down to the body on the floor. The sight of the tortured shocked him and he had put his hand over his mouth trying not to throw up. Shaw's radio squawked and McNally's voice came over it, "Oliver, we've got a body on this side, pretty cut up." William's heart pounded just a little faster when she felt Swarek's touch on her arm. When she saw the body, her hand immediately went to her stomach. Swarek turned on his heel and, keeping his gun out, called dispatch to send homicide and the crime scene unit to the scene. Andy cursed the fact that this case was a homicide. Homicide meant detectives and detectives, meant Luke. He was the last one she wanted to see at that moment. She was at this point in her life where she was debating with herself whether she should be with Luke or Sam. Epstein and Diaz began walking further into the house, guns still out, eyes continuing to return to the mutilated corpse on the floor; finally, Andy followed them out of the room, leaving Nash and Peck to clear the second floor. |

Her stomach churned and she held her gaze above waist height, forbidding herself from looking at the body. |

"That's sick," Mash murmured, her voice barely audiable over the muffled footsteps of their fellow officers moving in other parts of the building. Her stomach churned and she held her gaze above waist height, forbidding herself from looking at the body. As Andy walked into the next room behind Chris and Dov, Sam's voice came from the radio disturbing the quiet and startling her a little as he asked, "McNally, what's going on over there?" "Nothing much sir, this room seems to be clear." she answered turning to look to her left. The sight startled her and she could do nothing but scream. "What is it, McNally?" Sam's voice asked a little frantically over her radio, and she backed up a few steps, bumping into Chris and Dov as they froze behind her. "Uh.... It... It's a... a head.... and the rest of the body is a few meters away... and uh... its insides are showing..." Andy replied shaking like a leaf while Chris and Dov where trying not to throw up as hard as they could. "McNally, I'm never riding with you again we are jinxed." she heard Oliver mumble over the radio. Andy, Chris and Dov jump as they hear a loud noise behind a carton in the room. From the distance, Oliver and Sam had heard the bang and without overthinking it, they ran to where it came from, worried about their rookies. |

Added an M-rated warning to topic title. Just in case we do use not so pretty language (and who knows in the future any other references that will make this an M-story) . Thought we'd better be on the safe side...

"McNally, Epstein, Diaz! What's your 20?" After a few seconds, no sound was coming through the radio. Oliver called in again: "McNally, Epstein, Diaz! What's your 20?" "There's been an explosion, Sir. Diaz and McNally are hurt. Officers down!", Epstein said in panic though he could barely speak. "1504, we need EMT and bomb squad, 2 officers down and possible explosives hidden in the building. All units take care and keep a look out for booby traps." Oliver radioed panting and running after Sam, who was in a hurry to get to McNally. Arriving at the scene of the explosion, Oliver went to Diaz and Sam rushed to Andy. Chris was conscious but couldn't move, his legs were trapped under heavy steel elements. Andy had been blown a few meters away by the power of the blast. Sam got to her and wanted to help her regain consciousness but he didn't want to touch her, afraid he would hurt her. Very gingerly, he pushed the hair off her face, noting with some concern that the tips of it were coated in red, from a large laceration on the side of her face. "1520, where is that damn bus? I need it NOW!" he shouted in his radio as he felt his rookie going limb in his arms. Five minutes later, backup arrived and EMTs ran to the wounded. The took Chris in an ambulance while one paramedic started CPR on Andy. |
