Dov & Sue are cute together.

With acceptance right around the corner. I have a feeling they had to film that a few times b/c of laughing at her line and how she says it.

LOL at Oliver mocking Jerry.

Aww the then worry scene....secret smiles again. I love how they're almost shoulder to shoulder walking.

White pants :haha:

Love how Sam is letting Andy take the lead telling Chris exactly what he needs to find out and then she takes charge with telling Sam to cuff him.

Chris is hilarious and McSwarek is so sweet watching Chris on the screen.

Love when Andy shocks them with the poker comment. Oliver gives Sam that look like "do you see what you're missing buddy!?!?" and then Sam just stares at her adoringly in awe

LOL at Oliver when he wins poker.

I think Traci's video is sweet.

Because his partner is his partner....look at them smiling at each other!

At least we're blue together :haha: then Sam looks at Andy to see her reaction  then she does the cute tongue sticking out like :yuk: LOL

Aww Chris is so romantic going in to kiss her.

Editing mistake with Sam and Andy leaving the room then Sam getting up from the chair. Still sweet they left the room together and that she invited him to breakfast.

*sighs* ah boxing....smiles, healing, flirting, new beginnings....letting her take her frustration out on him....I just love all of it.

I still wish there had been some comment from Ben and Missy about filming the boxing scene. Oh well.

Ok, so I can't join you in watching the episodes, because that's like not comfortable time for me (7 a.m. in the morning and I'm getting ready for work), but I can comment the episodes, because I watched it soon.

Dov and Sue are indeed cute together and I like Sue, because she's not the typical girl who will complain about being drag into crime during first date. Granted, it's part of her job, but still she acted so cool.

I've always liked the friendship between Jerry, Sam and Oliver. I wonder how it began (another idea of fic). And since the first season I wished to see a poker night between the thee of them, so I got it.

Yep, white pants and counting on the fact that I watched the white pants yesterday, it's still hilarious, because with his white pants, you can see a lot of things, when you don't actually see.

Sam and Andy prepping Chris was a good scene to show that they are a team, partners who have synchrony and know how to work together.

The poker comment reminded me somehow of Beckett and Castle, but I still like it. They have been talking so many times about poker and yet it never really came to them that she might know how to play it. Next thing I want to see Andy playing with them. Sam and Oliver exchanged looks were something 'Dude, this girl is awesome'/ 'I know I'm a lucky man'.

I had to laugh at Oliver and Luke conversation. The way Oliver answered it. There was some hidden meaning there - Andy is great, because she's working with Swarek (I know he didn't say that, it just sounded like that).

I don't know I didn't like that much Traci's video, too much cheesy, not funny enough. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't that good either.

The blue people reminded me of a song I'm blue that I used to listen when I was a kid.

The boxing scene was good finale, but it always looked to me as something that cop partners/friends usually do (I have a colleague who's done something like that and he's married with a kid and definitely doesn't like me). I mean it's cute, but they indeed were friends there who had fun and tried to blow some steam. It's a start for something more for sure.

Soooooooo, I kinda got lost and ended up watching 8-10 straight and then was too exhausted to comment but loved this episode!

First off - love how we can see the stunt doubles (oops!) at the beginning.

Most of my other comments were covered but I absolutely LOVE the awkwardness of Andy when she has to call Luke. At least the second time it is on speaker phone but the first time you can tell how uncomfortable she was.

You can watch it anytime of the day. :)

I know that Traci said some cheesy things, and people have been critical about that, but to me, it's just that she knew that was what she needed to say to get Leo to understand and to understand how much she loves him. It makes sense saying it to a kid

Are you talking about that Eiffel 65 song? Oh please don't get that stuck in my head, it will never leave. lol

About the boxing....that's interesting that you know someone who did that. In my opinion, the boxing for them represented so much more and was romance. It's just that she wouldn't let herself go, to let it all out, with anybody but him, and that says a lot. And he took that step to get her to do it. So much double meaning with it. I just loved it so much.

svugirl yep Eifel 65 song  , sorry.

As for the boxing I meant that it wasn't just something you do for someone that you like. Yes, it seemed romantic, but deep down it was because they were already partners and friends and they knew each other very well. Even without unresolved sexual tensions, this is what happens when you work closely with someone for long time.

Although I'm not working in law enforcement, I'm working job that is typically for men, I work mostly with men and I know what this means for a woman and what it takes to integrate in such position. I also know how men flirt a lot. I work with 14 men in a room and I'm the only woman there. They flirt with me all the time and they do things for me all the time, because I'm the only woman and they know how to respect me. They open the door for me, bring the chair for me, sometimes even pay the check in the restaurant for me. Besides we're like family, we see each other every day for 8 hours, we go together to bars, we have every year technical seminars that includes spa hotel for weekend. We know each other pretty well, so that's the things that we do for each other and it's not because we like each other. It's because we know each other long enough.

One time I thought that I lost my camera in one of those seminars. And I was blue :lmao: and every one of my team knew that there is something with me just the second they saw my face. I didn't ask any of them, but they not only helped me search the place, but found my camera and bought a drink to the bartender who found it.

So, it takes more than that for two people to be romantically involved. Still it was pretty sweet  .

Well, in my opinion guys always think it's partly about sex, or they hope it will be. Doing something physical with a woman usually is their way of hoping some barrier of intimacy will be breached. They might not be making a pass in that moment, but their brains just don't operate on totally platonic friendship levels for the most part. There's always exceptions, of course. But I didn't get any lingering 'just friends' vibe from that scene. McNally might not have been ready to put herself out there with Sam yet, but he scored some points.

LAwoman you're right, they do think about sex a lot(almost every minute :lmao: ). However when they are working with women, the relationship goes a bit different. If they accept the woman in their group they treat her like she's one of them. So it won't be surprising if they even discuss with her which actress they find sexier or even different genres of p.orn(yes they do that, they are men after all).

There was something between Sam and Andy, I just don't think that it was because of the act, it was the way Sam was looking at her. So I'm not denying the obvious - that they have sexual tension and like each other. I'm just saying that you have to be friends with someone and to know them well enough to know how to approach them, give them a reason to listen to you and make them agree accept your help. So, in other situation those two people might be just platonic friends, but in their case it wasn't because of their long history prior the boxing.

It depends strictly on the way they interact. While men think about sex pretty much all the time, they can also see a woman as a friend and nothing more (my best friend is a man and we've done a lot of things for each other, but we've always been friends and nothing more, because we started as friends and neither of us did something in the beginning). Sam and Andy started differently. After all he did wanted to have sex with her in the end of the second episode (at least I got that vibe when he asked her if she wants a ride home), she declined, he got interested. We know how men's brain works. Add to the fact that they work together all the time, in that situation it's pretty difficult to be just friends because of their history.

The point is that I see how the boxing can be between Dov and Andy or Chris and Andy or even Traci and Andy. They did it that way, because we want to see scenes between them. In real life however it might've played different.

But hey it was definitely cute, sweet and start of something more. At least it showed Andy that Sam knows her enough.

Yeah, I think the crux of the issue is who it's with. The history and the looks guaranteed it wasn't going to seem like platonic time between McSwarek. But, yeah, it would have been totally different if Dov or Chris offered to let her beat the crap out of them to blow off some steam.

Also, you do have a point about men putting all the sexual feelings on ice with colleagues. RB actually downplays how much there is a barrier and what it takes for workplace relationships to happen, because, well, half the show is workplace hookups.

@LAwoman I don't expect from Rookie blue to depict the real interactions and men-women relationships in work, because that will mean that the half of the relations that happen there would have to be forgotten. It will mean also that the officers will have to find their partners somewhere else, which requires more actors and money. So I have nothing against the fact that they all sleep around with coworkers.

In real world actually the most men prefer to not sleep with coworkers for two reasons. The first reason is that some men (about at least half of them) have commitment issues and like to have fun and they don't want to have a list of angry coworkers that they left behind after some good and fun physical activities.

Of course there are men who have no commitment issues and some of them want serious relationship, but again when you work in environment where only 5 % are women and when they cross out the taken women and the ones that they don't like, they are left with one or two. And what happens if something goes wrong, you're still left with that one or two and see each other every day. Sure, they can transfer, but you can't do that every time you break up with someone.

That's why the percentage of people who pursue a relationship with coworkers are not that much and they usually are very private and prefer to keep it as a secret. This way even if they split, there will be less rumors and awkwardness. Part of this weirdness is the fact that everyone knows.

If Rookie Blue however follows this aspect, the show will be boring.

I will have to watch the next episode tonight, because I don't remember everything, but I think that there was something about horses. Or that was the 10th episode?

Yup, of course those are all the reasons that I meant when I said RB glosses over them to make the show interesting. I remember how gunshy my brother was when his wife first made the first move to initiate dating. (he's was doing his med internship & she's a nurse) He told her over and over and over the first few months they dated that they weren't serious because he was so paranoid that he'd end up with an angry co-worker on his hands if they broke up. It's so funny to remember now because they have a great marriage and two adorable girls.

I watched that episode last week maybe, so I don't remember everything, but I'll talk about what I do.

I can't comment on every moment of the episode, but I can say some things that I liked and some that I didn't like that much.

Dov and horses - that was funny, but from the whole experience the only interesting part for me was that we learned something about Chris. I know that we're supposed to check the pretty boys and to see how good is Andy and how the trainer likes her, but that wasn't interesting for me at all. I actually want them to explore the story of Chris in Season 3. The other thing was that Andy and Chris actually got a chance to work together and bond.

Like I said I love the bomb girl, because I like Mayko (the actress), but that's not the only reason. So far Sue seems genuinely nice and pretty girl, who is competent in his job and yet in the same time really lovely and warm. So I can't see why Dov doesn't like her enough to not think about Gail. I don't hate Gail, but Sue is much better.

The look was cute, but I honestly didn't get the idea, nor the metaphor. Either I was really tired when I watched the episode or there was some hidden meaning that I didn't get, because it's just not me.

I guess the episode title was about Dov and Chris as brothers and Oliver and Sam as brothers. While Sam tried to give advice to Oliver and decided to offer him a couch to sleep (not without joking first), Dov was high enough to say that he likes his brother's girlfriend in the girlfriend's face. I really wished they wouldn't go that way, because if there is something that I really value this is the friendship. And to me is unacceptable to date your best friend's girl, even if the girl is not right for your friend, just because it will always be awkward no matter what. So not happy about Gail and Dov development.

As for Noelle and Frank I like them, but it's not like I'm super thrilled about them, their relationship has like total 5 minutes screen time, so it's cool.

Overall it wasn't bad episode, but it's not my favorite either. There are other episodes that I liked more.
