Guess who just figured out how to show an attached image....ok maybe I might have come across a post telling how to do it, but still. LOL

So here's what you do....

  • Attach the image with the attachment option under the full reply box, just like you normally would.

  • After it's attached, post your reply.

  • Right click on the image link in your post to get the URL for it.

  • Click the edit button to edit your post.

  • Click the Image button and paste that URL into it.

  • Click OK and post your reply.

Ka-chow! Your attached image now shows in the post.

Why I didn't figure this out myself earlier....I have no idea. lol

But why would you ever do that instead of just going to the last two steps above and skipping the attachment part?

It depends on each individual post. If I'm going to attach an image at the same size it is on my computer, then it's quicker for me to attach it and just edit real quick, which only takes a few seconds, than to have to use tinypic to upload a pic (which also requires the verification code to be entered to upload).

BUT if you want to paste an image that's already uploaded somewhere, then yes, you're right.

But for me, tinypic can be a little slow sometimes (or at least the process of having to go to the website & then the steps to upload), but my computer can also be a huge pain, and other people probably have faster computers.

If you have an image that's right in your pictures folder, it's quicker to do it this way....at least it would seem to me like it would be most of the time. The steps I posted above are a lot quicker than it seems actually.

Ah, I get it. So the attachment function can draw straight from your hard drive then? I've never actually used it.

Oh I thought you had. Yeah, just hit the browse button under the reply box and you can upload a pic from your comp.

Wow, I can't believe I taught YOU something, usually it's the other way around. LOL
