Actually, now that the episode has aired - I've seen it coming the entire season (even without the Entertainment One Error - I just couldn't comment on it before). Honestly, I don't think the writers did a great job in hiding the fact. Jerry had more screen time this season than any of the other seasons - and the beginning of 3.09 was a HUGE indication of what was to come. |

Well, I think once you have a hint, hindsight is 20/20. It's not really THAT big of a deal that they gave him a lot of screen time. They gave EVERYONE a lot more screen time. |

Oh yeah, knowing there was a 'tragedy' coming, it was somewhat predictable/obvious. Lots of hints and the kiss of death 'high point of happiness' with the engagement. |

Actually, I said it to my friend after 3X04 - Missy and Ben both talked about the tragedy - I said to her 'it has something to do with Jerry' |

I thought the tragedy would involve Jerry for sure once the psychic told Traci she wasn't going to marry that guy. I am still in shock from watching it though. |

I totally saw it coming, even from the first ep. But that doesn't make me any less upset. I actually saw a spoiler during the eone thing so once it was confirmed in my mind I had time to prepare and Jerry was never my fav in the first 2 seasons. I got more attached to him this season, which was their goal so mission accomplished. But I never expected to be upset. I was just glad it wasn't Oliver and I thought I wouldn't miss Jerry too much regardless of how intense the ep was.... I was wrong!!!I was fine up until he got stabbed, it was like in that moment I lost it. I completely fell apart... I don't even understand the effect this show has on me. ![]() But besides the eone thing, they were placing a lot of emphasis on Jerry and Sam's friendship and that was what convinced me from the get go, it seemed too deliberate for it not to have a purpose... and obviously the purpose is for Jerry's death to effect Sam in a way they need for him to lose his marbles. lol. It's a GREAT ep, I just can't stomach rewatching it... maybe this weekend. |

The one thing I KINDA figured was when Sam said he was going to play one on one with Jerry.... From there it sat in the back of mind. But I figured it could've been any of oliver, Luke, nick, frank, Noelle or jerry that would be going haha, I really couldnt narrow it down. |

Today is the first time that I'm not going back and watching the episode again. I just really can't stomach it either! That being said, this episode was really one of the best episodes I've seen so far. Kudos to the writers They really kept me up on my toes when I was watching the episode. I'm going to channel all this thoughts of mine into video making. To Jerry! ETA I miss Jerry already!!!

I've been thinking a lot about it. Especially because of the interview Tassie did. We would have had to have had a death eventually, I know I've said this before, it's the harsh reality that comes with this job. A lot of people compare this show to Grey's anatomy. In premise, a show that is specific in profession but primarily about the characters, those who compare the shows are right to do so. However, this isn't crazy circumstances and situations to people who spend most of their time in a hospital where the life or death they're dealing with is in the OR. Every time these people go to work they genuinely don't know if they are going to make it home to their families. I don't know if anyone has seen the TEMA PSA that Enrico Colantoni has done where he describes the life in the day of a first responder, but that's what it's like. He says, "You go in you could loose your life, you don't go in someone innocent dies." As upset and saddened as I am that Jerry died. I think they did handle it very beautifully and the dude had better get a Gemini award or an ACTRA award for this performance because it was amazing. I think this season they've decide to keep the humour & lightness, there have been some great fun moments this season, but also introduce the darker harsher reality of what it is to be a police officer. Like I said I loved how they handled it because I felt like unlike a lot of American shows where they go in the last minute and save the day and all very seen it a million times and even teeters on unrealistic this was very human. It was realistic. It was these people trying to save their friend and colleague. They made bad decisions, they didn't think it all through, they're human. They took what little they had and they worked based on that and it lead them in the wrong direction. It's just what I love about this show. No matter what is going on even in the crazier situations. They don't have these rain man moments. They don't have the equipment that you can zoom in and unblur the image and see the face clearly like magic. I also think the writers trust the audience which is something that I don't feel is very common. They trust us to know that whatever they are doing always has a purpose. Also the writing is always good, the directing, and everything. I just love this show. It's sad that one of the characters had to die. It's sad that it was Jerry. The whole thing is sad. But also I do like that they put a death into the show because it makes sense in the context of that job. |

I don't know if it was here, twitter, or facebook (because between the three I'm kinda lost) but someone mentioned the fact that Traci and Jerry were about to get married and as much as this episode was hard to deal with, in a way I'm "happy" that it happened before they got married. It's probably because of my sense of family (which is why I don't think they'd kill off Oliver), but I think that I would have been even more emotional had he been killed after they got married. As many people have mentioned - REALITY can be painful and in a cop show moreso than a medical drama, they can't always solve the case without casualties. As McSwarekFan_Brittany stated - the life of a first responder is dangerous, and they know that going into the job. |
