Hi, I don't know if it's been mentioned before but I just noticed Ben has a scar on the right side of his face, just under his lip.
Was watching 1x05 and you can really see it when he tells Andy how partners have eachothers back.

Has anyone else noticed it? (or knows where it's from?) Might be nice to ask at the next RB twitter party ..

I put a picture in this message (don't know how to make it smaller, sorry)

I have noticed that scar, but know nothing about it other than that it's sexy. ;)

This is entirely speculation-- but it looks like a skin cancer scar to me. My family has very fair skin, and almost everyone has had a spot of skin cancer removed at one time or another. My uncle had a beard, and when he finally shaved it off, they found a big spot underneath. The scar was rather large and white like that because it took awhile to find because of the beard.

I'm not a scar expert or anything but to me it looks like a scar he could have gotten from whatever reason. Maybe he's had skin cancer, maybe he cut himself as a child/adult, maybe he got a little too eager with his razor, or had a lump that had to be removed... could be anything. I personally wouldn't have asked him, to me it seems like a private question and Ben seems like a private person. So I wouldn't have asked unless I knew him (which I of course would love to ;) but the brutal reality is that I don't :haha: )

While, I wouldn't ask him either, I don't mind speculating. I have a similar looking scar kind of under my ear, and it's from chicken pox. Ben would have been a young adult when the vaccine cam into wide spread use so he probably actually had chicken pox.

I have noticed it. I wondered if it was an acne scar, or chicken pox scar like you said, Katy. To me, it looks more like a skin condition kind of scar, than an injury kind of scar.

My niece has a similar scar near her temple from forceps used at birth. I don't know if they ever place those around the chin or not though.

I wonder what it is too but I don't think I'd ever ask him about it. I kinda think asking about scars and birthmarks and all that is something you could do if you're friends with that person, like enits said :)

They don't use them on the chin on purpose, but if it was a traumatic birth, I'm sure odder stuff has happened.

I've noticed it before. Seems a cut scar for me. I have a similar looking one on my chin.

Hmm I always thought it was a scar from childhood or something

I think it's interesting that lots of us think the scar is similar to one we've encountered in our lives.

Did not notice his scar at all, I always thought it was like a shadow or a 'dint' ... I'll have to keep an eye out for it in future episodes.

The more I look at it the more I think it's like a dimple effect. You know when people with dimples, when they smile, it kind of leaves an after affect? :dunno:
Maybe people with dimples can clarify this :D

To me Ben's mark on his face looks like a scar. I have a dimple in that area of my face that he does, but it is a dimple. His looks more pronounced even when he's not smiling (mine does not, only when I smile does it show up). You can kind of see it in my avatar on the left side (to us) on his face.

And it is sexy as hell on him :D
