Hiya swarek24 Are you referring to the twitter exchange/fic itself? If so, the most recent has gone on over the past couple of days...it's still going. I can't link it because (long story) it doesn't make sense if you're not following it in that moment. I believe sourgummysharks (my 'co-author', whose tweets are protected and can only be viewed by followers) has compiled this one and will be posting it to her lj account. I'll let you know when it's done :) Ps are you actually on twitter? If you are, you can follow us and we'll follow back. We seem to have about 3 stories underway there at any one time aside the rpf stuff mentioned here (Sam/Andy and future fic for the Swarek family). Hope that makes sense! |

I'm pretty positive the cast doesn't follow any of us who enjoy the rpf on twitter. I'm sure we have all tweeted the cast (before & in the future) but I highly doubt that any of them would see a tweet from us and then go check out our pages and see the rpf tweets. And the only tag for twitter stories they have isn't for rpf but for swarekfamilythings. |

She probably meant me. Tassie, Adam Barken, Melanie, and for some reason the actress who plays Zoe follow me. Mel's hardly on lately, and neither is Tassie, but that was why I asked everyone to tone down for just a little while when Tassie came on yesterday. (see we were already thinking about this before svu brought it up ) At any rate, other than the private accounts, I don't think anything was said at any point commenting on content, other than possibly the fact that such a fic exists, and possibly who's in it by initials only.

I haven't read any of the RPF stories (to be honest I don't even know what that means) as I barely have time to read FF.net....just a thought though, does anyone think Tassie or others may visit this site from time to time? It's pretty well known in the RB community and with so many following Kathryn and Kristin, I can't help but wonder... |

Hi angelflower - I don't know the answer to your last question, but RPF = real person fiction. There's none of it on ff net..there is on other sites such as livejournal. A few stories exist around the fact that people ship Ben Bass and Missy Peregrym as a couple. And don't worry; we already know we're all going to hell. Also; the stories do have disclaimers citing they are not truth. In essence it's only fantasy that lives in our minds :) |

I think some of them might have during the first season/hiatus between seasons 1 and 2 but I don't know that any of the writers read it now - evidently it can become a whole legal issue (if they read your story and use something you wrote). |

No, you were specific, I just misread it. I would assume that someone from the PR department does lurk here from time to time - because in today's industry, you have to know what your fans are saying (look how many shows have gotten canceled after only one or two seasons) |

Actually, you're not the only one they follow, so I was just referring to the fact that some fans are followed by them. I think Matt follows some, if I'm not mistaken. And Tassie may follow someone other than you based on some tweets I've seen. And I'm not sure who all the writers follow. But it's better to play it safe. lol I didn't know "Zoe" followed you. It's nice to know that I wasn't the only one that brought up the point about being cautious. I just think it's better to play it safe, out of respect for the cast and the relationship they've developed with the fans as a whole. Edited by svugirl, Feb 18 2013, 08:36 PM.

I think it's up to the people tweeting how and what they tweet, and if it's RPF, then so be it. Those people know if they have cast/crew following them and can decide to continue with RPF or not. And even if they do have cast/crew following them, the cast/crew would only see the tweets if they followed both the writer and who the writer was tweeting...or if they went to the writer's page. Just my two cents. |

Everyone does get to make their own decisions on twitter, for sure. As far as what gets mentioned here and whether anyone connected to the show may now or then drop by here, who knows? It's possible every now and then. I will say that unless someone is really good at hiding their true identity, no one on the creative team or any of their significant others are registered members, so far as we know. So, if there's every anything that's not totally out of line and you're dying to say to people here, but you have any kind of qualms about someone connected to the show reading, just use the new members only tag function. Problem solved. ;) |

There's freedom of speech, of course, but all I meant is that when it comes to their personal lives, that there should just be a little more awareness as to what gets said where, out of respect for them and their personal lives. I mean, when it comes to the characters and the show, it's about opinion. When their personal lives are involved in some form or another, I just think it's one of those things to simply just be aware of what gets said where. That's all I meant.

I don't think writing RPF means you are disrespecting the cast or crew. Not in the slightest. I don't know anyone who's trying to claim it as reality and I highly doubt anyone in the cast is being forced to read it, nor is it being thrown in their faces. I'm confused about when this became an issue to be honest. |

Yes, when it comes to real person fiction, FICTION is the operative word. I think everyone who reads/writes it knows it stems from the fantasy of wishing there was maybe a teeny, tiny bit of reality to a hot onscreen attraction between two actors playing beloved characters. Actors know fans want to believe this even while the more rational part of the fan brain knows it's not usually the case, and it's probably not the case for your favorite ship either. But the rational part of the brain is a Debbie Downer buzzkill, and it's sort of human nature to want some element of truth to lurk behind well-crafted illusion. That doesn't mean anyone really wishes someone would actually have a secret fling. (Well, a few people might secretly wish that, who knows, but that's not generally the point of RPF.) At any rate, I'm sure most actors know it's not a great idea to wade into those sorts of fever dreams by spun by fans, no matter how entertaining they can be for those not directly involved.

That's definitely what I was getting at. For example, I hate cheaters and I think men who cheat on their wives are a********s, so obviously I'm not truly wishing things were happening between the two people we're all talking about . The fun in it is that it's fiction. It's fun to pretend. And in my mind, it's completely harmless for people to read and write it.
