The twitter session was great..til he maxxed out and got thrown in twitter jail. And then he went to the trouble of getting Noam to tweet what happened and say he'd be back later. Such a great guy!!

I know very little about twitter-- so please explain this "twitter jail" thing to me! It sounds so intriguing! Does this mean that Ben Bass's tweets went viral or something?
Basically twitter puts a limit on how much one person can tweet. It's 100 tweets an hour and 1,000 tweets a day. If you hit either, you're put in "twitter jail" which means you can't tweet. You can direct message people and read other tweets, but can't post anything yourself. I think it lasts an hour and then you can go back to posting again.

Thanks for this information! Does this apply to how many people tweet you in an hour, or how many people you tweet, or both? Sorry for the questions, I'm just curious! One of my colleagues uses twitter to teach her comp class, and so I've been thinking about it, and I would love to be more twitter "literate" before attempting such a feat!

No problem! We might want to take further twitter questions to another thread though, so we don't hijack this one. :)

As for the 100 tweets & twiter jail - it can be 100 tweets to 100 different people or 100 tweets to the same person, doesn't matter. 100 tweets and you get sent directly to jail.
