New Starry Mag interview of Noam is up. Jamie used a couple of my Qs, yay!

Noam Jenkins Interview

Excerpts:
Quote:

Q) What continues to challenge you about playing this character?

A) The biggest challenge in playing Jerry for me is keeping a certain level of ambiguity alive. I think Jerry can be hard to read sometimes. He can be really empathetic one moment and completely self involved the next. He's a guy that can be cool one moment and a bit of a goof the next. I guess my challenge kind of mirrors the show's challenge, which is playing the mix of both comedy and drama (sometimes at the same time) that supports the "Rookie Blue" world in a believable way.

Q) Is there somewhere that you draw from to portray Barber?

A) I built Jerry Barber from a look because in the early days I didn't have much to go on. I liked the idea of a guy that tries a bit too hard to be cool. Since then, the character has matured (somewhat) and I've been able to draw more from my own life, but I think I would be lying if I didn't admit the Barber suits didn't help me a lot.

Q) Does Jerry have a specialty like Luke does (Homicide) or is he in charge of all detectives at 15?

A) That's unclear. Jerry certainly takes charge of cases and has become a Senior Detective at 15. If it were up to me, I think Jerry's business card would read "Jerry Barber: Major Crimes."

Q) What was your most memorable moment from filming season two?

A) In the sheets with Traci was fun. The heads in the back of the car was a laugh. I'd also say getting punched out by Traci's ex or getting rough with Forlano in his cell to get info to help Dove who was trapped by an explosive. But probably I enjoyed the "blue man" episode the most. I had some interesting scenes to play and I thought that was a very strong episode over all.

I love this interview. He speaks so highly of Enuka, it's so nice!

I'm a little confused by his comment about it not being SO important to interact with fans? I'm not sure what he means by it. Anyone have any insight?

Jamie asks that same question of every RB cast member, I guess because this show as a group is one of the most active on twitter and Facebook. But it just doesn't apply to Noam that much. He tweets, but sporadically. He's not nearly as into it as Eric and Matt are.

Ohhh ok. So maybe he just meant he doesn't consider it to be as important as his other cast members?

Sort of. I think he was just surprised by the premise she was presuming that he considers it particularly important vs. just a relatively low effort thing he occasionally does to keep fan contact.

The House Next Door aired on The W Network's Movie channel, I wish I could post it online for you guys but I don't know how to do that and I think you need extra cords and stuff do that which I don't have, and I have to say the movie is very hit and miss throughout the whole thing. Charlotte Sullivan is in the movie in the beginning and her part is okay(obviously she was great in hr part). Noam is in it to the end and I feel like it's the only time that the movie goes to that dark place that it needs to go i order to be successful in pulling off the plot. Noam's character turns into a total douche canoe when they move into the house. The plot of the movie is Mark Paul Gosselaar's character is an architect and he builds a house for Charlotte Sullivan's character and her husband. After he's done he feels like he put something in the house that wasn't there before. Then Buddy (the name of Charlotte's character's husband) pushes her down the stairs which causes her to loose the baby. Then basically whoever moves into the house is cursed and something bad quickly befalls them. It's okay I'd give it 2 stars, I don't think it's as dark as it needs to be. It's a psychological thriller that does not leave you on the edge of your seat basically.

I tweeted a while back that Piper Parabo has the best female job in TV. She gets to be the first female James Bond who has an unreal number of totally unbelievably hot guys after her, including Noam. Although there hasn't been too much flirting between them yet.

I saw that episode. Noam is really cute but ODED..... :thud:

Come to think of it, Oded kinda sorta reminds me of BB....the dark coloring and eyes, the toothy grin.
