Curiosity for me cause with all the new 3D Hype and seen a Question on Facebook on what movie would you want to see made into 3D.

So the main question should Stargate be made into 3D?

Also would like to see your responses or suggestions.

Me? Personally, I'm not a big fan of 3D although Avatar was amazing when I didn't have to keep taking off my glasses to adjust my eyes. Stargate would have to be done right and not be just a 3D comb over. It might even have to be remade. So I'm undecided.

What say you all?

nah, I don't find 3D in the slightest bit necessary in any way, shape or form :) It could go as far as to ruin the original as, imo, its a masterpiece.

I just think 3D is a fad myself. The only reason I might want to see the Stargate movie in 3D is the kawooosh coming at me when the gate opens. Apart from that I would not be a fan. Also, I am a big fan of Resident Evil movies, the latest one after life. I watched in 2D but it was awfully obvious that they went out of their way on some of the 3D effects, which tainted the movie for me some.

God no. 3D is terrible for movies. I am only seeing 3D working for gaming after having hands on play with a 3D PS game and Nintendo's 3DS. I hope 3D gaming is here to stay because it really does help with your immersion in video game.

My opinion on 3D varied from movie to movie that I saw. First and foremost, Avatar, I thought the 3D worked very well and I felt that the 3D effects didn't seem too much like gimmicks but instead added another level of immersion in the film, after seeing it in 2D I felt like something was missing. Alice in Wonderland, 3D wasn't necessary and felt like it was tacked on. Lastly Piranha 3D, I will admit the 3D of the opening shot was really good and added some scope to the scenery, after which the effects declined proportional to the film.

I would only want 3D applied as an immersion experience other than that I wouldn't want it, but as Aszrayel said I also would like to see the kawoosh, and I'd be fine with just that.

I would have to agree the Kawhoosh in 3D would be awesome to see, but I'm with ya guys saying it's a fad, I was just curious and got my mind wondering when I thought about this.

The only thing I have to say about Piranha 3D is that it has Kelly Brook in it grrrrrrrrrr.

But to be serious, it's a fad. I know Batman Arhcam Asylum you can run in 3D with the correct hardward. But whats the point. I like things the way they are. I am not worried about change, but to me 3D, like I said earlier is just erm....
