Rangiferina and her bird companion had traveled for some time already, the bird leading the blind fox to where she may find food - be it plants or prey, she had no choice to be picky for she had no options but to depend on the bird and eat what was available. On her travels she had not been entirely alone, she had met other foxes... Each of them having story of their own and certainly also their own problems - some of them just being young and alone, for reason or another. The blind fox may not have been the most empathetic one, but she certainly did not care to leave others in trouble when she herself had received help from such surprising direction - never could she have guessed that she would so highly depend on a little bird that she, without a doubt, would have eaten if this was not such troubling situation already. Helping the foxes that truly wanted and needed help, giving them advice on what they can eat without worry, teaching the basic ways of nature... This she did and thus eased their burden of survival a bit, allowing them to spread the knowledge should it be necessary. Moving on with her travels, the bird took her to a peaceful creek which seemed to be quite an ideal place for staying - at least for a while if not for longer. It was not fully uninhabited but had already some foxes living there. For Rangiferina's luck, they seemed peaceful enough to co-exist with so she stayed. In time she became appreciated and respected for her knowledge and wisdom, the foxes of the creek starting to think of her as their leader even though she was quite a solitary being and did not even acknowledge the tribe she had till it slowly grew, even some of the foxes she had helped on way having found their way to the creek and found their place from it. Rangiferina had found a place for herself as well as helped some others, yet she still was not please to her life... But having no use to search it for now, she was content with staying at the creek near the other foxes as someone they highly respect, teaching them more and at same time learning from them. |
