It's been almost two and a half years since the women of KOKORO USA took to the squared circle, but I'm happy to report that the one-time Japanese cult favorite has returned once again, this time in the HIll Field House in Baltimore, Maryland. Hello wrestling fans, I'm Maggie Paulson bringing you another batch of K-USA results. K-USA: WARRIOR SPIRIT DESTINY #3 Hill Field House, Baltimore, Maryland Attendance: 4,833 Mariana De Leon's last singles match was a loss to Moira Faith and a chance to win the Spirit of KOKORO. Meanwhile, Madison Pierce has yet to score her first victory in KOKORO USA, and a win over De Leon would be a big step in the right direction. [SINGLES MATCH] "La Onza" Mariana De Leon vs. Madison Pierce Sadie Morales came out with Mariana, and it was clear from the start that she fully intended to help her partner out. For a little while though, she wasn't really needed. Both De Leon and Pierce went toe to toe, dishing out as much punishment as they possibly could. But as soon as Pierce got an advantage, Morales tripped her up from the outside. Finally Mariana just picked Madison up, and dumped her to the floor for Sadie to do some damage. But despite their efforts to overwhelm the larger woman, Madison couldn't be stopped. At one time they even put her through a merchandise table with a spike piledriver, but Madison just wouldn't stay down. And in the end, Pierce came out on top, hitting an exploder suplex off the top rope for the win. WINNER: Madison Pierce via Pinfall with the Exploder Superplex. Post-match, an irate Sadie "Mayhem" rushed the ring and started going to town on Madison. Mariana soon joined in, and both women did a real number on the victor. Gaia Brasher came out at that point, causing both Mexicans to bail out of the ring. Helping Madison to her feet, Gaia then dropped her with a hard right, before raising a mic to her lips. "I told you Madison, you should have brought backup." That seems a bit harsh for an "I told you so." [SINGLES MATCH] "The Bullhead" Gaia Brasher vs. Sadie "Mayhem" Morales Sadie tried sneaking in the back door before the bell rang, but Brasher was ready for her. The Bullhead simply turned and leveled her with a big lariat. Contrary to the previous match though, this one was at a much slower pace, which was fine by both competitors. Despite that fact though, both were hitting extremely hard throughout the match. Gaia was more focused on wearing Sadie down, while Morales just wanted as much damage as she possibly could. At one point, she pulled a barbed-wire covered board out from under the ring, and set up a few lighttubes on it too for good measure, before proceeding to curb stomp Brasher on the board. But it was Gaia who came out the victor in the end, as both women battled on the apron, and she hit a Buffalo Shotgun (jumping DDT), driving Morales head-first into the exposed concrete floor for the win. WINNER: Gaia Brasher via Pinfall with the Buffalo Shotgun. Post-match, Mariana De Leon came back out to check on her partner, and Saide could be heard asking her "Where were you?!" La Onza's reply was in Spanish, so I don't know exactly what she said. Nevertheless, Sadie looked none too happy about it. Backstage, as Myra Benedict and Moira Faith were watching the night's events on one of the monitors, Hannah Kristian approached them and called for a truce between her and Myra. She said that a lot had happened in the last two years, and while she was overly judgmental back then, Myra had earned her trust and respect. The two shook hands, sealing the deal, before Hannah left for the ring and her impending match. [SINGLES MATCH] "Black" Jayde Griffen vs. "The Heroine" Hannah Kristian Coming out to the ring first, Griffen tried to get an early advantage over Kristian, attacking her as she climbed into the ring. However, Hannah quickly shrugged her off, and started dishing out heavy damage from that point forward. Jayde took it though, and then turned the tables with an eye rake and a snapmare driver for a two count. She was perfectly happy taking the fight to the outside from there, but Kristian fought toe to toe with her before both wound up back inside the ring. The action was fast and ferocious, with Jayde pulling out her usual flashy but devastating flare, while Hannah simply teed off on her. A KOKORO Cutter through a table nearly got Griffen the win, but she soon found herself staring up at the lights after The Heroine hit her with a Kill-Shot off the top rope to the floor. WINNER: Hannah Kristian via Pinfall with the Kill-Shot (Cut-Throat Psycho Driver). Post-match, three of the four Blood Pact members jumped the guardrail and overwhelmed Hannah while Griffen high tailed it to the back. Sora Kawaii was nowhere to be seen. Kiora and Hitomi each took turns drilling Hannah into the exposed ringside floor, but Andrea refused to raise a hand to her twin sister. Nor would she help Hannah for that matter either though. After leaving The Heroine bloodied and unconscious, Kiora raised a mic to her lips and declared "Guilt by Association." She went on to say that since Hannah chose to make peace with The Kindred, she was now an enemy of the Blood Pact. Changing subjects, she went on to lambast Sora Kawaii for leaving, but promised two new members to the Pact "Very soon." Hitomi Akera took the mic at that point, and addressed her opponent Nina Grimsson: the current reigning Heart of KOKORO. "I don't know why you requested this match. You should be a part of the Blood Pact, not opposing us. But perhaps your friendship with my former mentor has lead you to this point. It's a pity you aren't brave enough to put that shiny belt on the line though. No matter. With or without it, soon you're going to regret crossing us." [NON-TITLE SINGLES MATCH] "Blood Plague" Hitomi Akera vs. Nina Grimsson As soon as Nina's music hit, and she stepped out of the portal, Andrea Kristian made a beeline for her, wielding a small knife in each hand. Grimsson side-stepped her though, and cracked her with a nice high kick to the back of her head before continuing her march to the ring. Kiora exited the ring, but stayed at ringside while Akera motioned for The Mockingbird to "bring it on." As soon as Grimsson hit the ring, it was on. She and Hitomi went at eachother like bitter enemies. Toe to toe and hold for hold. They quickly left the ring and headed into the crowd, tearing up every single inch of the Hill Field House. They exchanged strikes, kicks, headbutts, and even chairs at one another. Both women were absolutely ferocious, and the ref could hardly even keep track of things. When they got to the back of the building, they took turns slamming eachother into the walls, and then suplexing eachother through tables. It was absolute carnage, neither woman backing down for a second. And then they worked their way up to the balcony, where Hitomi nearly hung the champion over the side, but Nina clocked her in the head with a nice kick, showing off her flexibility. Nina got the last laugh though, hitting a Murderous Air Wave Drop that sent both women flying off the balcony and through a pile of stacked tables. WINNER: Nina Grimsson via Pinfall with the Murderous Air Wave Drop (Head Spike Overhead Belly to Belly Suplex) Post-match, Izumi Sato came out with a mic in her hand. Surveying the carnage, she told the crowd and the champion herself that Izumi wanted so bad to get a little revenge on her. "Two years is a long time, but don't think for a second that I've forgotten our battles." She went on to say that she would have to wait some more though, because there was no honor in beating a wounded warrior while she was down. "I WILL have my revenge, but not before you're able to fight again." She spat into the face of the downed Mockingbird, before heading back up the ramp and out of sight. Still at ringside, Kiora Donavon got on the mic again, this time to call out Moira Faith. She insisted that Faith "Get out here right now. Your time as Spirit of KOKORO is over." She didn't need to ask twice though, as Moira was quick to comply. [SPIRIT OF KOKORO SINGLES MATCH] Kiora Donavon vs. Moira Faith[c] As Moira made her way down the ramp, Kiora grabbed a steel chair from ringside and slid into the ring before bouncing to her feet, daring Faith to come in. Pausing to think about it, Faith then charged the ring as Donavon stepped up to meet her. But as Kiora swung for her head, Moira ducked low, driving her shoulder into Donavon's ribs, causing her to drop the chair to the floor and back off. Once inside, the two women started throwing down with hard lefts and rights. Kiora then took the advantage with a thumb to Moira's eye, followed quickly by a palm strike to her throat. From there Donavon took control, belting Moira with brutal knees and headbutts, very quickly busting her open. It even seemed like she would score an early victory, after hitting her Lovely Violence sequence followed by a near fall. Faith was by no means done yet though. She caught one of Kiora's kicks, and countered into a series of rolling dragon screw legwhips, finishing that with her Kurenai Kuracchi (cloverleaf achilles tendon lock). However, Donavon refused to submit, and ultimately made it to the ropes, resulting in a break enforced by the ref. The fight went back and forth at that point, with Donavon bringing all sorts of hardcore implements into the match, and eating a full nelson bulldog into a seated full nelson submission onto a bed of scorpions. Kiora got some payback though, hitting a nasty powerbomb onto a bed of nails and crushed glass for another near fall. In the end though, Moira had Donavon up in the submission portion of her Burn, Bleed, Ascend finisher, when Kiora flipped out, landing on her feet. And then in an instant, took Faith down with her Kiora Claw. Moira tried her damnedest to break free of it, but was ultimately forced to tap. WINNER AND NEW SPIRIT OF KOKORO: Kiora Donavon via Submission with the Kiora Claw. Post-match, after celebrating for a moment, Kiora pulled Moira back to her feet, before decking her with the Cup-Choi (kung fu-style haymaker), just for good measure. |
