| Welcome to The United Literates, or TUL! We hope you enjoy your visit! We're an all-genre, all-literate forum on the Zathyrus Networks, and we'd love to have you join! Our roleplays range from the fun to the mature, and are all member-run and created; they extend from Fictional roleplays set in the past and future, to Real-Life and Fan-Fiction categories. In addition to roleplays, TUL also has a vibrant community of artists and writers, featured in The Cafe section of the website, who also love to do things out of character through our Lounge area. Getting The Hang Of It
|
OOC Information Name: Kyh/Sarah, call me what you want. Kyh is pronounced Key by the way~ Gender: Femme Who were you referred by? What site were you referred from?: From the old TUL site, came from neopets before then... Age: 16 (In a couple months...) Contact: lustforanime@yahoo.ca Role Playing Experience: A year and a half or so not on TUL, and it'll be four years on TUL in may. So all in all, about about five and a half years. IC Information Role Play Sample: The flight from northern Ontario back to her home town in British Columbia had been a rather boring one. There had been an old taxi to come and pick her up and, after hauling the three suitcases in, she somehow managed to file into the cramped vehicle. "To 24 Birch St, please." She asked politely, voice ginger with anticipation. The driver- an old Chinese man, by the looks of it- flashed her a thumb's up and started driving, the money counter clicking every so often as another dollar increased the sum. When the rusting taxi finally rolled up to the side of the curb, Aleisha Herz handed him the required total, which cut down her already low stash of cash even lower. She pulled out three suitcases, one placed delicately across the front of her chest as she dragged the other two along. There was a screech of tires as the taxi drove away. She turned to look, blonde hair whipping around as she turned and smiled shyly in gratitude. Turning back to the door, she noticed that another man was standing there, holding the door open for her. Smile still firmly in place, she skipped by with a small thank you. It was a simple gesture from the man, but it meant a lot to her. Not all folks were that kind, usually too busy rushing from place to place, going home from work or vice-versa. Taking one hand off her briefcase, she pressed lightly on the button that would bring the elevator down. Hearing the familiar beep of the bell that signaled that said transportation device had arrived, she grabbed her briefcase once more and slid gently through the now-open doors. “She said room 254…” She mumbled, figuring that would be on the second floor. Poking the button with her index finger, the two lit up in a bright golden color. Feeling the elevator jeer and tilt, she took a step back to keep from falling. As the elevator slowed and the doors opened once more, she stepped out, thankful that she was out of the moving death trap. It had been a while since she had ridden one of them. Shrugging, she turned left and began looking at the numbers. “250, 252… oh, there we are! 254.” Giddy with excitement, she let go of her luggage, save for the one around neck, and rang the doorbell beside the door- a unique feature that those in Ontario, for all she had seen, didn’t have. After hearing a curse word and the familiar shout of Dryn’s voice, Aleisha couldn’t help but giggle a little, but also wondered what made the girl sound so desperate. She wasn’t sure, but shrugged the thought off. “It’s Aleisha!” She called out sweetly; thinking maybe that it would make Drynwen move faster in her course towards the door. The balls of her feet were the only things planted on the ground; the rest of her body was jumping up and down with childish excitement; as though she was still a small child and was opening up a new Christmas present. The Genres: I prefer non-fantastic stuff, to be perfectly honest. Fandoms are lovely, too. (KH/Hetalia would be my mains) -ahem- Sorry for the short post, but since I haven't had any magnificent, super-proud-of posts as of late I had to settle with this, even if it's an old role play between Phina and I. ;P |
