ooc; Asia Female theunitedliteratures.com 16 Aim: peppo01, honeybunni101@yahoo.com About 3-5 years. The bell had rung just as the silver 2008 Lamborghini pulled up in the school parking lot. "Shit, I'm late" was all you could here from the young, seventeen year old girl, who was behind the wheel. Quickly grabbing her book bag and cellphone off the passenger seat, she darted towards the two brown school doors. She ran to the big, clear door that had the bold, black letters of "MAIN OFFICE" written on it. She slowly pulled the doors open and walked to the receptionist. "Why, Hello Mrs. Myers." She said sweetly as she played with the gold letters on her name plate. "You're late again, Amelia. And you know I can't let you into class you have to see the principal because this is your third tardy this week and your 22nd one this month." Ms.Myers said not looking up from the stack of papers. "Please, Mrs.M." Amelia begged and pleaded. "I give you enough chances, Amelia. Now sit and wait from Mr. Dain." She demanded harshly. Amelia made no further communication and did as the woman asked. She sat in the big, maroon chair and waited for the principal. Finally, he called her into the office. "Amelia, please sit." He said pointing to the seat right across from his desk. "I'd rather stand." She huffed. He pulled out a big manila folder with all types of paper stacked in it. "Do you know what this is?" He asked pointing to the folder. Amelia shrugged and he went on. "This is your referrals and tardy slips from this year alone." He said opening the folder to show her all the referrals and tardy papers. Damn, he's gonna make me do detentions for a life time, She thought to herself. "Alright, Dain. Cut the chit-chat just give me my detentions and I'll be on my way. I don't have time for all the sugar coating and small talk." She said becoming aggravated by his constant bickering. "Well, Ms. Johanson I'm not gonna give you any detentions. But I ------" "Oh, for real well then I'm out." She said trotting towards the door. "Ms. Johanson, SIT DOWN!" His demeanor change completely into a rumble that made her shake. He regained his composure and continued. "What I meant is I'm going to make you join a club and you can spend your detentions that way." He held out slips of paper. "Pick one." Amelia walked back to the desk and glanced at them. Glee Club? Hell no. Stage Crew? Most likely not. American Foreign Exchange? Don't think so. She looked at him, ready to suggest something else. He shook his head 'no' as if he could read her mind. "Alright, Alright. Foreign Exchange." She sighed and then left. A meeting was today after school and she had to go. What was she getting herself into. |

Peppo (Asia :p) - This is only a few side recommendations, so don't worry - you're accepted. But there are a few stylistic points to run through in this case. To make reading easier, it's generally better to space out all of your separate paragraphs, including the speech from characters. Second, it's also a good idea to italicize any internal dialogue, such as a thought. And a last aside, it's also best to run one's work through a word processor such as MSWord or Pages to check for grammatical and spelling errors. Cheers, and welcome to TUL2. :] - Dr. Locke |
