Frequently Asked Questions
How do I add pins to my profile?
Use the format [pin=###] in the profile field named "Pins", replacing the ### with the three digit value for the pin number. For example: [pin=001][pin=023][pin=201] will result in:
/pin001/ /pin023/ /pin201/

Do the pins on my profile mean anything?
Pins that you add to your profile field are just for your enjoyment, they mean nothing and aren't necessarily what your character is using. However,

What does my Difficulty do?
Difficulty is used in the Reaper's Game to determine what Noise a character encounters and what pins that Nosie will drop if defeated. If you aren't in the Reaper's Game or aren't a Player, difficulty is a field you can use just for fun.

Is there an easy way to post sprites of Noise and pins?
Thankfully, yes- just like what I did above. They are all uploaded as emoticons in the format of /pin###/ and /noise###/. If you type what you want in that format, replacing the number signs with the number you want (ex. 3 should be 003) then the image will appear in your post. Not sure of the number? Just go ahead and hit the "Show All" button below the Player Pin and you can scroll through until you see the one you want. Be careful to separate the text with a space from everything else or the picture will not show up.

What does OOC Mission mean?
Out of Character Mission; in other words, a mission for you, not your character. These are voluntary but you can earn a prize for participating in a certain number of them.

What are stats for?
Stats do not immediately effect anything in the Game aside from Bravery and what clothing your character may wear. The point of stats are that people have a numerical idea of how your character compares in the different areas of battling as well as how different characters compare to each other.

How do I decide what my character's stats are?
Presently no one has volunteered to wipe their copy of The World Ends With You to tell us what stats Neku starts out with, but even if they had, I wouldn't want everyone to have to start from scratch when this is a forum roleplay. Simply glance over the different applications of characters of your class (ex. Player, Reaper, etc.) and estimate from there. If there are any problems, they will be addressed when your application is reviewed.

Can I apply for Producer, Composer, or Game Master?
One may apply for Game Master at any time, but it is possible he or she may not be promoted n-character to the rank of Game Master until the current GM steps down or the Composer chooses your character to control the following week. Until that point, you will be considered Officer rank. One must find and defeat the current Composer in-character or hope the current Composer steps down before you may take his place. Should you become successful in defeating the current Composer, then you will be asked to create a new application. As of now, both the position of Producer and Composer is currently taken.

I want two characters. What situations constitute an exception to the one character rule?
A member who has proved himself/herself able to keep one character regularly active may ask for or be given the opportunity to take on another. A member controlling a character with lesser activity or a more detached role (ex. Composer or Producer) may be offered the opportunity to play an unaffiliated character. There may be other possibilities, but as of now, those are the only two that appear reasonable.

What is a status update and why is it on my profile?
You can update your status to what your doing, what your character is thinking or literally whatever you like so that other individuals can see it when they visit your profile or the Status Updates page, where all of our members' statuses are displayed.

How do I earn money (¥)?
Members earn money proportional to the number of times they have posted. There are a few exceptions, however, such as the Slam On! and Billboard forums.

What can I use money (¥) for?
The Shop sells various things that you may spend your money on. In-character items and out-of-character forum priviledges are the most common things that may be found there.

I accidentally bought something at the shop that I didn't mean to! Can I retract my purchase?
If you contact a staff member before the item is delivered or your points deducted, he/she may remove or delete your purchase without problem. However, all completed sales are final.

I still have the points I spent on my purchase in the Shop, and I haven't received any notification of receiving it. Is the Shop broken?
No. The points for your purchase will be deducted at the time that your item is delivered, privilege added, or message sent. This prevents you from being overcharged or for there being any problems with losing money and not receiving what was paid for. If a week passes without you receiving any notice, post in the Reaper Creeper forum or PM Azu with your concerns. Please refrain from sending your request multiple times- this may result in you being charged twice and it will only slow the process.

Can I use an in-game article of clothing?
Yes. It is assumed that clothing in the game is perfectly acceptable for use on site, therefore you only need to use the proper name of the item when you reference it and it will be fine.

Am I restricted to wearing four items of clothing?
Nope. Wear as many things as you like! You might want consider limiting yourself a little, though; it can be tough to move after a certain point.

Can I make my own clothing for my character?
Yes, you may. Purchase a clothing request at the Corner Shop and you will be sent a PM with a form for your to use to design your clothing or accessory item. If your item is accepted, your character will recieve the first of its kind and it will be added to the site Clothing Catalog for other members to buy.

Can I make my own species of Noise?
Yes, you may! In the Rite of Passage there is a [template] specifically for Noise creation.
On iNspire, we do have a few new species that have been made by one of our first more adventurous members, Zelphiteen. All accepted Noise can be found in the Latest Threats subforum of The Reaper's Game.

Can I create my own pins?
Quite certainly. the Expanded Arsenal has entries for all of iNspire's custom pins. There is a pin creation template [here] in the Rite of Passage. Post your idea and try to add as much detail as you can reasonably and it will be reviewed!

How does the "Profile Song" field work?
When Updating your Profile, this field can be used to add a single .mp3 extension song to your profile. No other extension, link, or player will work. After a proper link (which will end in .mp3 if it will work) has been added and you save the changes, the player will read 'buffering' and then will begin playing your music.

Is there any specific purpose for blogs?
Nope. Do whatever you like with yours- it doesn't have to be related to TWEWY or iNspire or your character.

How can I make a blog?
Follow [this link] or go to your Preferences. Under the Profile Options heading click "My Blog".

If you do make a blog, you can use the custom link in your profile to advertise it by editing your preferences and typing anything into the field labeled "Blog".

Can I make a member group?
Yes, but unfortunately only staff may create them. Therefore, fill out the following form in a PM to me and I will make a group under your control and care :
