General Rules 0.00 : Each Reaper's Game requires an entry fee. This consists of the single most important thing to an incoming Player. The entry fee will always be taken with the purpose of forcing a Player to reevaluate its value and himself/herself. 0.01 : Each Player holds a Player Pin and a cellphone at the beginning of the Game. They are used for scanning and receiving missions, respectively. 0.02 : Scanning allows a Player to listen to the thoughts of the Living and locate Noise for combat. The Player Pin has no effect on Reapers. 0.03 : A pact may be created by two individuals voluntarily deciding to join together. It is not dissolved unless one of the individuals is erased. 0.04 : Non-Taboo stray Noise will not attack Players who have entered a pact unless they are deliberately engaged in battle. Noise summoned by Harrier Reapers attack entirely at the direction of Reapers. 0.05 : The Reaper's Game lasts seven days. Regularly, a mission will be issued and sent to each Player's cell phone each day. Each "day" does not necessarily consist of 24 hours, and the Players are put to sleep shortly after the mission is cleared as they await the next day. 0.06 : Missions issued to the Players must be completed within the specified time limit, or all Players are erased. If one Player manages to complete the mission, all Players survive and move on to the next day. If the mission is not successfully cleared, all Players are erased. 0.07 : Walls are controlled by Support Reapers. If a wall is deactivated by a single Player, it remains down for all following Players unless a Support Reaper deliberately replaces it. Walls that do not have a Support Reaper nearby are impassible. 0.08 : Reapers may not attack Players directly until the last day, and then only the Game Master. Support Reapers are not permitted to attack Players. 0.09 : A Reaper's lifespan is determined by the number of Players he or she erases. A Reaper is given a single game to learn the rules and policies. From that point on, the Reaper will be judged on their erasure rate. 0.10 : At the end of each Reaper's Game, survivors will be refunded their entry fee. Those who are erased or lose the game lose their entry fee permanently. Survivors may be restored to life, sent back into the Game, promoted to the rank of Reaper, or erased. 0.11 : Those who reside in the Realground cannot see those who exist in the Underground without a Reaper decal. Noise may effect both planes, however, attacking the Living and Players alike. 0.12 : Only the current Game Master may issue missions, the exception being the Conductor choosing to step in. 0.13 : To take the position of Composer, one must first defeat the reigning Composer. 0.14 : The Living may not enter the Reaper's Game and remain alive. 0.15 : Players are healed when they return to the Underground from the Noise Plane. In the case of Harriers attacking Players, this is the equivalent of transporting them forcibly to the Noise Plane. 0.16 : As many pieces of clothing may be worn as is practical. Try to avoid wearing five hats just to get the abilities or stat boosts. Clarification or reasoning behind site regulations can be obtained by sending me a private message. Disagreements with the rules or desired changes may also be communicated with me over PM. Should there ever be any changes to the rules, they will appear as an update in the announcements. |
