Hello, Just a little over a year after its original release, Final Fantasy 15 hit PC earlier this month, and boy was it worth the wait. Thanks to Nvidia sending over a copy of Final Fantasy 15: Windows Edition along with a GTX 1070 Ti to test it out, I’ve finally seen what I honestly believe to be the most beautiful-looking game I’ve ever seen. Final Fantasy 15 already had awe-inspiring going as far back as its Episode Duscae demo from a few years ago, being the first time a game truly felt ‘next-gen’ to me. It was gorgeous. But the PC release has definitely raised the bar in some ridiculous ways. First things first: the general performance of the game is pretty damn good. And it’s fantastic seeing the extra horsepower afforded by even a mid-range PC being used so well. Like, seriously, the framerate alone could constitute the biggest difference between FF15 Windows Edition and its console counterparts. And framerate isn’t the only place we get upgrades here. Larger-resolution textures and smoother anti-aliasing does its part to make the game look truly remarkable. Final Fantasy 15: Windows Edition also has some fantastic optimisation for PC hardware, as a glance at the Steam page’s minimum and recommended PC specs would show. The PC I used to test the game was definitely overkill compared to even the recommended specifications; an i5 6600K clocked at 4 GHz, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, and a GTX 1070 Ti, compared to the recommended i7 3770 at 3.4 GHz, the same RAM, and a GTX 1060.
